These Steve Madden Intyce Boots ($200) are pretty close to the real thing — and $550 cheaper. I like the how the slightly pebbled texture gives the shaft more dimension. Now that's what I'm talking about!

I've been looking for a great pair of black riding boots, but I don't like the Steve Madden's, and the Loeffler Randall's are too much... boo.
1There are a pair of Delman riding boots that are pretty similar to the Loeffley Randall's. They are still $500, but at least it's a little cheaper!

4I like the Steve Madden ones alot. My problem...my calves. For some reason they are HUGE lol. I wear a size 8 -8.5, but my calves are large and never fit!

5Fab - how do they fit? Do they run narrow, wide etc? I actually think this is a great look-for-less and I really like the Steve Madden ones (esp. the price tag!)
6I agree - the Steve Madden's don't quite cut it. They're cute, but it's the buckle on the foot of the Loeffler's that makes the boot.

8I actually like the Steve Madden's better--mainly because it comes in brown which I like better for flat boots. I really can't explain that. Also, there's something about the buckle at the bottom. I have a boot like that & it makes my foot look wider. I like buckles at the top.
9The Steve Madden ones aren't bad, but I still much prefer the Loeffler Randall ones. I'll probably keep hunting for a cheaper version...

11Hey gals. I actually got them in cognac and it's a really nice caramel brown. They fit a little loose around the calf but it's not an eye sore. Alas, I cannot afford the Loefflers so it's the next best thing.

15I love the Steve Madden ones better than the LR's and the best part is if you go to amazon.com they are only 140 bucks and they have some special that you get 25 off if you spend $125 or more and no tax and free shipping...i got the cognac ones for on $114!!!! And they are great for bigger calfs b/c you can adjust the buckle.
