Vena Cava designers Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai have already mastered the art of designing cool clothes, but what about shoes? The duo have just teamed up with sultry shoe label Via Spiga in creating their first shoe designer collaboration.
“We’ve never done shoes before and it’s always been a dream design project," said Buhai.
Retailing from about $300 to $850, the collection, which will debut during NY Fashion Week, will consist of four styles matching their Spring collection theme of “Egyptomania." Expect to see exotic strappy sandals embellished in monkfish and salmon skin dyed in muted, sun-bleached colors.
Curious? The collection will be sold at viaspiga.com and in the new Via Spiga flagship in New York, which will open in October.

Oh my, I predict that the shoes will be pretty ugly.
1I love the Vena Cava girls! Even if its not really my style, their designs always look fab!
2Well, those clogs in the sketch are horrible, but I'd like to see what else they come up with. I like their clothing designs a lot!
3That's funny because during the 90's you couldn't give those shoes away. They were everywhere.
