I don't know if 15-year-old Taylor Momsen, of Gossip Girl fame, is really into heavy metal. However, I saw Guns n' Roses (and Metallica) when I was 12 so I was a wee rockin' chick. But she certainly played the part recently in Yves Saint Laurent, black leather, shimmering jewels, and smoky eyes. I would like to advocate that one should only attempt this look if they have rock in their soul, or the rock gods would not approve . . .

1The older ladies of Gossip Girl that attend the same event that this photo was taken looked younger and fresher than Miss Momsen and somethings just not right about that. Not to mention the fact that she looks "over done" and styled within an inch of her life! Tacky Tacky!
2I don't think the rock gods approve of her look. I think the groupie gods would though.
3i think the look is pretty hot, as long as you don't over-do it and are age-appropriate. accessories are a good way to go. taylor probably overdid it a bit, but if you just leave it to a few key pieces it doesn't look like you tried too hard.

4She looks horrible. The outfit wouldn't be so horrifying if it weren't for her terrible and cheap-looking make-up and hair. She looks like she is trying much too hard to look older than she is.

6The look is great on someone older. I agree with soulight. The makeup is way to heavy for someone her age. Geez her makeup artist or mother should have taught her how to apply makeup.
7However I do like the outfit. It is alot tamer than the 80's metal look.
