Update: More styles from Jonathan Saunders's Target collection have been released. See them after the jump.
Target's Go International line is about to see its quirkiest, most avant-garde designs yet thanks to British designer Jonathan Saunders. The news of the collaboration came a few months back and I have no doubt that it excited the fashion-forward crowd. Starting Oct. 5, those who love a little funky in their closet will be able to score art-inspired pieces with splashes of color, modern silhouettes, and unique prints.
For his cheaper collection, ranging from $14.99 to $59.99, Saunders was highly influenced by artists like Gustav Klimt, Jackson Pollock, and Rothko (like far left ombre dress, worn by model Hanne Gaby Odiele). If those names mean nothing to you, perhaps a Wikipedia session prior to purchasing would help.

I'm sorry! i really wanted to like it, but i cant. its ugly! and is even looks ill fitting on the models! the last look looks like she has it on backwards! i'm sorry Target! i love you, i cant stand your designer collaborations!
ooh, i'm definitely looking forward to seeing these pieces in person.
I'm going to completely disagree with Sarahab on MOST GO collections. There's always 1 or 2 pieces I love in every one. But I must admit, ombre pieces aside, I'm not super excited about this one.
yes, SOME are fine . while 1 or 2 look great in pictures, most are cheap and ill-fitting.
omg i want themm!
Ew. No thanks.
uhhh i want 3. i want to see these in person, i imagine that there are a lot of little details to be appreciated.
I want to be impressed...I just don't think I am...
Yeah, I am not feeling this collection at all. All of their Go International collections have been pretty much a disappointment in person.
i agree the clothes never look the same in person....and everytime i got to my local target the pieces i like are no where to be found!
I really like it. I would buy something myself. Hopefully those boots are part of it too
that model is way too skinny and kind of creeps me out. but i like the boots!
if i were in my twenties then these target lines would be in my closet, however, they don't work so well now.
How old is that model? She is creepy.
I like the ombre pieces however at this moment that is all I like from the collection.
YUCK
ew
i really like the boots
I think that the pieces which were influenced by Gustav Klimt will look the best of the collection, but it is difficult to say until I see them in person. I have Oct. 5 marked on my calendar!
EEEEEEEEE-Yikes! This looks like the worst collection yet. Nothing that you can pick out of this mess that will do justice to anything else you have in your wardrobe. I went to Target this evening and actually loved two pieces in their own collaboration in stores right now. The clearance racks were chocked full of previous Go collections including Richard Chai's clothing which I found to be mostly fabulous!! This one looks like the laundry mat exploded and crazy people ran in and got dressed! Whew! I predict very poor sales on this collection.
This is hideous!!! Paul + Joe was the best Target collection to this day
