I've always thought of actress and daughter of Jane Birkin Charlotte Gainsbourg as a cool girl, but not as a model. Still, the best friend of Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquiere has been chosen as the newest face of the house's Fall '08 advertisements. This is not the first time Charlotte has taken a stab at modeling, though; she was once the face of French handbag line Gerard Darel. She may not look like most models out there, but her svelte body is perfect for Balenciaga's latest crop of dresses and slick suits. And her robotic posing goes hand-in-hand with the paired-down but bold collection. What is your take on Balenciaga's Fall '08 ads?
