After an exciting countdown, the season premiere of The Rachel Zoe Project finally took place last night. Did you watch? As the trailers revealed, there was no shortage of insanity.
In a nutshell, Rachel searched far and wide for a red carpet dress for celeb client Joy Bryant, flew to NYC for a business meeting, met up with Michael Kors for brand expanding advice, styled Joy, attended the Art of Elysium Ball, oh and dropped major moolah on a Birkin bag, a Balmain dress, and a Chanel necklace. We also learned a few Zoe-isms — "That's bananas," "I die" and "Shut it down" — which I'm sure we'll be hearing over and over all season. Exciting!

I would if I could.
I don't think she's all that. I saw a preview show and I just think much of it is exaggerated in order to try and make it a good show.
I watched the show last night. To me, it was exciting to see what goes into fashion styling. RZ's new assistant Brad was adorable, but her other assistant Taylor came off as super bitter. It's going to be interesting to see how everything works out!
not yet..it's on again tonite at 6pm!
I enjoyed it because I love fashion and also I've never seen what goes on in the life of a stylist. I'd also like to hear more about how she got into the business. I like most of the original programming that Bravo does anyway.
Rachel Zoe's husband needs to run, and run fast! She's horrible! And Taylor is so jealous and conniving that I went from digging her to hating her instantly. I like Brad, but please stop with the crying and super-sensitivity. Grow up! All these characters are just too over-the-top! Ugh!
Hello Tivo!
I watched, but I'm not sure I'm going to continue to watch it because Taylor was SO annoying, horrible and b*tchy I don't think I can stand to watch the show....
You know what bugged me? Rachel said she "created" a look for Joy, but she didn't create anything. Zach Posen did.
Stella from Project Runway said it best.
I missed it last night (hit my stride on my research and didn't want to quit), but now that I see that it re-airs, I'm all good
Love her, loved it! So good!
not yet, I'm recording it at a later time.
i totally agreed. taylor was a mega beotch and she shouldve taken charge and shown brad what she knew and made him comfortable and part of a team. i'd rather have to teach one person how to do the job properly that way i wouldnt have to teach a whole bunch of people and also so the work would be done properly the first time.
i tell you though... i wishhhh i was rachel zoe or worked for her. she walked into that store and ordered birkin bags like she was buying food at a supermarket. effortless.
i loved it.
I watched part of it....it was interesting.
I love fashion too, but I guess I am the only one who found Rachel unbearable to watch. She was terrible and the voice, the inflection, the flamboyant throwing her arms around and being pissy...It was just annoying. I thought I would want to watch it but found myself changing the channel in the first ten minutes just to get her off of my screen.
I'm interested in seeing what goes on behind the scenes with a stylist but I'm not sure I can handle Rachel. I'll watch the re-run tonight and give it a shot but I don't know....
The relationship between her assistant was very annoying. Rachel was cute and very glamorous. I loved her first shopping trip. I have already found myself saying "I die." I will continue to watch but I was a tad disappointed in the show.
LOOOOOOOOOOVE HER! would die for her job
Gotta agree with Flamingo08 - Zoe didn't "create" anything! It was all Zac Posen!
She's irritating, greedy, and a narcissistic wench who really doesn't do much of anything for the "desgn/fashion world". Ach, yeah, it's a bad day..
))
She's freaky, too.
DVR'd will watch it tonight!
No, I missed it! I'm going to watch it's rerun.
I was really looking forward to watching the show.
I even orderd BRAVO just to watch it but it wasn't on!
I guess its not airing in Candada.
I love fashion, love styling and loved the show. It was super over the top and I know that it will annoy me at times. I won't be taking the people too seriously, but the clothes are another story. Can't wait to see the season unfold. Another guilty pleasure from the masterminds at Bravo!
sh*t I forgot. Was at dinner.
I don't care for her style, that's for sure...
Blah.
i love it , i love her, she's in my top fave list now !!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S BANANAS
This show did the opposite of what I think it was supposed to do. I was so unimpressed with Rachel. I found all of her sayings irritating. She and her husband need to face reality and change their style, they're both 40 and look like their trying to be 20. I hate that.
For those of you curious, iTunes is giving away the first episode for free so you can download it...that's how I ended up watching. I just like looking at all the pretty clothes
It was juicy good fun but I'm curious to see more episodes before I profess my love for RZ. I just think it's too obvious that they hired Brad to drive the totally controlling Taylor crazy (who doesn't at least give some direction to a new employee, especially one who was hired to make YOUR life easier???) so that dynamic might get tired. I'm v. curious about her relationship with "Rodge"--is he even straight??? We'll see...
Watched it for the pretty clothes, and accessories...I wish I had that kind of budget to buy half of what she buys...don't like her as a star...maybe she will grow on me.
GeriAnne1932, Thank you!!.. that's way better than waiting for the rerun because I missed it!
I just watched it and thought it was pretty disappointing. There was just no signs of Rachel as an innovator or like, a window into her creative process. It was very shallow, like a girl who read every fashion magazine and repeated what they said. As they say in the fashion biz, no me likee!
OMG!!! CYL I love your little dog picture! Lol, but anyway, I liked the show, although I think Mrs. Zoe could benefit from a good facial and some Botox....she looks a lil' saggy and spent. I do like her though, she's Bannanas!!
nope, I find her kind of annoying and I hate "reality" tv...
I like her .. I mean i can do without all her little sayings like to die, and bananas...BUT that being said you get a look at what a stylist does, how they work, how her assistants work.. its awesome. I wish this show was out years ago...Its a great insiders look at the fashion world.. and even if u dont like her... who cares! The show is colorful, full of awesome clothes, and great scenery! Hope she gets a second season!!!!
I missed it
I'm hoping they'll rerun it this weekend...
it was great except taylor is a complete b*tch if i worked with her i would b*tchslap her,at first i didnt know that rodger was rachels husband cause he seems gay,and whats with the way they talk like little valley girls, but i really like rachels style but she does need a face lift and some really good eye cream and some oil blotters.
I finally got to watch it and I love Rachel and I love the show! I don't know if I can watch the whole season though.... because Taylor is WAY too annoying. Brad is really trying and she is so jealous of his presence that she's being so cruel to him. I'm going to continue to watch but I just hope Taylor stops being annoying so it won't ruin the show.
I LOVED THE SHOW. Rachel is so chic, her guy assistant sort of irritated me. He came off as being incompetent and loved to dramatize EVERYTHING. Taylor is funny, but she does over exaggerate at times. Rachel is fun, but am I the only one who thinks that she's a beard and her husband is gay? He's so sweet, though.
poor brad, he was obviously only hired to piss off Taylor and make for 'interesting t.v.'.
Soooo FABist hot mess with Brad perppy and Taylor rocker chick two different personal don't click. Also I sense someone going to have a break down.
I watched both episodes last night. I like the show but Taylor brings that b*tch factor and I didn't like the way she treated Brad. I mean give the poor guy some pointers and proper training already.
No, I didn't.
Does anyone know where I can find the red and white checkered top (jacket, blouse?) that Taylor was wearing? I have been looking for this everywhere!!!!!
Rachel is using the terms "bananas" and "shut it down" from the African American hip hop culture. We use those terms and she picked it up from one of her clients. She did not author them. Get that straight right off top! THOSE ARE NOT ZOE-ISM TERMS. I think her husband is super dupa metro-sexual or trying to do something crazy with his gayness by marrying a woman who really doesn't want a real man or husband.
the most annoying wanna be good looking she does what for a living piece of sh*t whiner ive even seen..
