2007 American Music Awards: Avril Lavigne

Avril Lavine ditched her usual punk getup for something more girlie — but I'm not convinced this is her best red carpet look. The fabric and ruching of the bronze Dolce and Gabbana strapless dress looks more tacky than tasteful. What do you think?

I hate the dress. The color is not flattering on her at all. I really love the pink in her hair especially at the top.

This is another example of metallics gone wrong.

She needs to pick a look and stick with it. If she wants to get all glamoured up, then she needs to do something with the hair (color, cut, *and* style), get an advisor for the makeup, and pick clothes (again, color *and* style) that flatter her. The dress is fine, but the color is wrong for her, and the glam of the dress clashes terribly with the toned-down punk of the hair and makeup. *sigh* So much potential, too.
