2008 MTV Video Music Awards: Best Dressed

Did you notice how much sparkle there was last night at the 2008 MTV VMAs? But shine didn't necessary equal standing out on the red carpet. Two sequined ladies that did wow you were Miley Cyrus in her flapper-inspired dress and Audrina Patridge in her sexy gold number. Lauren Conrad's revealing yet stylish white frock and Bar Refaeli's casual Hurley tank dress and Badgley Mischka statement jewels also appealed to you. You didn't love Nicky Hilton's Opening Ceremony LBD so much, but I always have to back up a girl who takes a risk. Between all of us, the candidates for best dressed at the VMAs has been narrowed down to Miley, Bar, Lauren, Audrina, and Nicky. Who wins your vote?

lauren without a doubt - can't stand her but that dress is just amazing - audrina came in close second, but I just hate the band at the bottom, and I really like Miley's dress but there's just something that doesn't make me love it...

Bar is stunning with her killer bod, she doesnt need frills and fanciful details. how is it that nicky is on both the best and worst list??

Um, a bunch of safe, boring dresses worn by a bunch of untalented people, who have nothing better to do than read fashion magazines and follow their instructions to the T, and you expect me to applaud their efforts? I don't think so! Christina was fierce.

Bar. She looked so stunning; the photo used above does nothing for her, you should have used one showing the front w/ her jewelry and/or one with her crop jacket.

NONE! I like Miley's belt though, but the dress has too much going on, Bar's dress looked like something I made in fashion class using my gym sweats, LC's dress looks vaguely familar, but besides that the skirt looks like paper mache, Audrina's showing a bit too much skin (I always say it's one or the other, cleavage or legs, never both!), and Nicky's dress looked like she resurrected the losing dress from Project Runway's Lipstick Jungle challenge.

Ugh Lauren Conrad really. How boring is Fashion these days. Or more how freaking delusional. I'm going with Bar. She looks very pretty, sexy, and womanly. I'm over these girls in prom dresses or girls who look like they are borrowing their mother's clothes

How could I forget Bar? Her dress is too casual--especially that style and color combined (gray always makes me think of workout clothes) and it is really tight.

I chose Miley for #1 because her dress and shoes are really cute. I guess I'd choose LC 2nd and Audrina 3rd, although I don't know if I like LC's shoes. I also dislike the color of Audrina's clutch and her shoes.

Wow these are the choices? I chose other, because I thought Britney, Rihanna, and a few others were far better dressed. Out of these choices I would say Audrina because I like the color and the shape, but its too short and exposing. Lauren's is okay, but I agree with my sister - she says the bottom looks like newspaper.

Bar's outfit is not normally something I'd say "yea" on, but she's pulled it off. You have to be stick thin to wear something like that. It looks nice on her. I love Miley's outfit, she's cute. Nicky Hilton...um no. Lauren is eh. I'm not a huge fan of her, but I guess her outfit's alright. Audrina. Girl needs to cover those suckers up!

Gotta pick Bar. It's simple and chic, and unlike everyone else she didn't overthink her outfit. It's only the VMAs... have some fun with your outfits, people! And I completely forgot about her until I read some of the comments, but I would like to change my vote to Britney. I agree that she looked amazing (finally)!
