If you've ever wondered what models look like after partying the night away, peep at Marc Jacobs's Fall '09 campaign. The ad, shot by Juergen Teller, features Natasa Vojnovic, Ajuma Nasanyana, Kamila Filipcikova, and Olga Sherer looking glamorously tipsy wearing Marc's colorful '80s-inspired frocks. To add more emphasis to the throwback theme, the models are styled with opaque tights, teased hair, and makeup reminiscent of Madonna's heyday. It's a little kooky, a little cool — what do you think?

To get rid of Jeurgen Teller as photographer now would be a bad marketing idea, since using Teller for the print ads has become Jacobs' brands' signature (as repetitive as it may be). However I think the brand could use a little something unexpected like using a really outspoken celebrity for a print ad or doing a limited edition collection for a chain like Gap (like Vena Cava did) or H&M.

Hate it... It's something that I regret with fasion : sometimes, their way to be catchy and glamourous is, to me, just ridiculous and vulgar. Here I don't see beauty, I don't feel the cloth are highlighted... People will say "the guy that made it as a genius!" as usual (as it is MJ the brand...) but i'm far to think so xD

even though these might not appeal to some people, but we have to admit that the clothes are wonderful! when people look at these ads, they immediately think MJ. If that is not a measurements of "signature", i dont know what is.

Marc Jacobs can do no wrong in my eyes when it comes to his designs, but I've never loved his ads. I do think he could change up his campaign a little bit because many of them look the same. I'm definitely over the Jurgen Teller overexposed photographs in every single ad campaign. Mix it up, Jacobs, this is super boring advertising.
