We just wrapped up the red carpet festivities for the first award show of the year — the People's Choice Awards! We got to see a gaggle of lovely ladies strut their stuff in everything from soft pleats to dramatic draping to sexy strapless to shimmery chic. But here are the five who really stepped it up. Minka Kelly turned it way on in her off-shoulder Vivienne Westwood; Emma Roberts did classic chic in a strapless LBD; AnnaLynne McCord showed off her fashion chops in a teal frock; Taylor Swift wore a soft peachy J. Mendel; and Kim Kardashian opted for a strapless brocade Malandrino number. Take a good look at the nominees, then vote for your favorite!

None of these ladies wore their best dresses. Taylor Swift was just the best of the worst in this case.

taylor looks good and the non-sparkly peach is a little out of the normal way for her.. but minka kelly is beautiful and that dress is interesting, so that one is my choice! why is annalynne?

Minka Kelly is so beautiful, and not everyone can pull of Vivienne Westwood's unique creations. Fortunately, she totally rocks the dress. I love this look on her!

When is comes to Taylor's hair and makeup its always the same old boring look over and over again ( its time to give her an intervention! She needs to change things up!) but I do like the dress shes wearing in this photo. Even though I don't really like Kim I have to say she looks nice here.

i'm not a fan of all the abnormal tanning on the carpet for this event...real or fake, it doesn't look right. kudos to emma roberts if only b/c she seems to embrace her natural tone at every event.
