New York Fashion Week, Spring '09: Sash Belts
Belts have been a key accessory the past year. It's clear why: a belt defines a waist, creates contrast, and encapsulates the female form. Even though we saw a belt in nearly every scene in the
Sex and the City movie, for Spring, belts have loosened up and taken notes from martial arts. Wrapped fabric, cinched scarves, and obi belts stood out among the belt bevy. Designers presented these styles through many different muses. Donna Karan's subtle obi proved you don't have to be a black belt to be bad-ass.

2this kind of makes me happy that i've managed to hold onto a few things from years past. i have a couple belts that look JUST like the ones on the runways this season so i think that i might be able to be in on the trend.
