The 2008 Emmys churned out a grand selection of gowns. But when it came to favorites, your votes went to either the light and lovely looks or the dark and mysterious ones. While there was color on the red carpet, the most stunning looks didn't need the help of a hue. My heart goes to Olivia Wilde in romantic Reem Acra, but also Debra Messing in dramatic Monique Lhuillier. Night and day, day and night. Which of these salt and peppered looks was the grandest of all?

My vote goes to Debra Messing, although Olivia Wilde comes in a close second.

3Olivia looks absolutely perfect! Debra is a close 2nd though; the gown looks wonderful on her.
4Out of the choices up there I choose Olivia Wilde and Hayden. But, where is Christina Applegate? She looked FABULOUS! She was my FAVE of the night. Olivia and Hayden tie for 2nd place for me.
5Its pretty much a tie for me between Olivia and Debra, but I voted for Olivia.
6Hayden is so young and she works so hard to look old. Relax! You're young. Olivia gets my vote. She looks gorgeous.

9RockandRepublic you don't know that for sure. I'm only 20 but my taste are a lot more classic and simple. If I had my choice of gowns I would opt for the mature yet sexy styles. I would be picking something I didn't like or wasn't comfortable with to go with youthful and flirty.
10What no Heidi Klum in her metallic dress? I though she was absolutely stunning. From the list above I would have to go for Tina Fey, very elegant.
11I agree where was Christina Applegate?? Her dress was unusual and beautiful. But I also liked Kate Walsh's Zunair Murad Black beaded tiered dress. Anyone else like that dress?
12Olivia looks ah-mazing, and I'm finally starting to understand why she dyed her hair brown! I'm almost tempted to dye mine brown again, although the idea of having to spend 6 months having highlights to get my natural colour kinda takes the fun out of it.
Tina Fey looks hot, I never realized she had a body! On the other hand, Hayden manages to look somehow frumpy and dumpy again. Why can't she dress fun and age-appropriate?

16My favorites were Marcia & Christina. Though I loved Olivia and Debra, there's still something safe about them.
I thought Mary-Louise Parker and Christina Applegate should both receive best-dressed honors for the night.

20I really liked Cynthia Nixon's dress. It was so simple and elegant.
21Brooke Shields. Not a huge fan of the pink dresses, but her hair and makeup were absolutely flawless.
22None of these REALLY stand out to me as somehting special...but if I had to choose I would pick Tina Fey.
23Christina Applegate. Her dress was unique (not black/white/navy) and she looked absolutely gorgeous. After everything she's been through recently how could she not be Best Dressed?

36I thought Tina looked amazing. Her dress made her waist look so tiny and it really flattered her bust and fit perfectly. All of these ladies look amazing though.

44I loved Kyra cocktail chic look, how many times have we seen the full length ball gown on the red carpet it's refreshing to see something a little more risky. And it is the daytime Emmy's so it can be a little less buttoned up.
