21at first i was taken aback and thought "OH H*LL NO!" but then i took another look and realized how oddly striking and brilliant it was. it's taking your old cleats and assorted body protection from different sports and making it couture. for me, the kicker is the pencil heel that makes it fiercely original.
not to say i'd wear it, but i appreciate it as a concept.

Yet another work has been added to my three letter emotive text vocabulary - "ick." Not only does it look back, it looks terribly uncomfy!
27I think it's unfortunate that so many designers make clothes and shoes that are clearly for the runway only. It's like ugly is the new pretty. Each to her own pocket book, but paying many hundreds of dollars for something that looks bizarre today and will be tired in a month is fine for multi-millionaires, but crazy for women who work for a living. BTW, I think men would laugh like crazy if they saw those and assume the woman wearing them was one card short of a full house.
