Star light, star bright. The star craze keeps on keeping on. Here we have a gorgeous but very expensive Tiffany & Co. Star Link Lariat Necklace ($1,100). There are several things I like about this necklace, but the price tag is not one of them. Its delicateness is stunning, as is the combination of the big and little stars. It would look as darling with a simple gray tank as it would an LBD. Too bad I would go bankrupt if I ever purchased it.

Alas, my research skills serve me well. Check out this Blue Nile Star Lariat Necklace in Sterling Silver ($65). Now that's more like it. Even though it doesn't have as many stars on it, it has the same lariat detail. Now I can't live without it.

GORGEOUS!!!! I want it too
1Ahhhh Tiffany's... The Tiffany version is stunning! I'm not so keen on the Blue Nile version though, it doesn't look as delicate. And I'm also not keen on white gold for the Tiffany version. Not that I can afford the Tiffany one in any case, but a little look around their site revealed this beauty in sterling silver and affordable: http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?sku=18981564&mcat=148204&cid=3... Often times Tiffany will do a sterling version of some of the high end pieces, so maybe we'll get lucky? (Fingers crossed, I've a bday coming up in a few months... DH knows anything from Tiffany will do just fine LOL!)
2Ahhh I love the Tiffany's one
Wish I could buy it!!!
3I have that Tiffany one on right now! I adore it - I have had it for a few years and I never get tired of it.
4I like the tiffany's one, but the look for less version just isn't the same without the silhouette on the end.
5The Tiffany one is amazing but the less expensive one is cute too.
6They have a tiffanys one that is $250

7http://www.overstockjeweler.com/tiffany-inspired-sterling-silver-open-st... is SUPER similar, but it's a knockoff, so it'd better be!
8jules0701 you win! I searched but could only find the heart one... blaming it on my lack of coffee (; The sterling version is definitely doable!
9Punk Glam Queen, I absolutely adore the heart necklace you found ! I think I might go check it out...
10I have the Tiffany one...I adore it. It looks fantastic on - just the right length.
11jules0701 - Thanks for pointing out the $250 version. My birthday is coming up and this is definitely something I will conveniently "leave up" on my boyfriend's computer screen so he can see it when he walks by.
I love dropping hints
12Elsa, its growing on me as well. I adore stars, but hearts are so classic. And to me, Tiffany's means classic simplicity. My DH got me an upgraded diamond at Tiffany's for our 10th anniversary, but he was unsure as to the style I wanted. I left the decision up to him (ok kinda scary... the man has not an iota of fashion sense!) but he opted for the classic Tiffany solitaire in platinum -- exactly what I would have picked! (More diamond for your buck, and believe me there's a gob load of bucks in those babies.) So I may be asking for the heart one for my bday... oooh wait perfect valentines day gift!
131,100 seriously?! I can find that for so much cheaper somewhere else..
14The Tiffany's one is gorgeous! I love it.
15The Blue Nile one is cute but I don't think you can really compare it to the craftsmanship of the Tiffany's version. The silver Tiffany's version for $250 is much much nicer.
16never been a fan of tiffany's. it's so plain.
17i'm a sucker for anything from tiffany's and i really appreciate that you're sharing this. now if only i had the $$ to be able to afford it...since i know that i can't ask my fiance to pay for it.
18And for a DIRT CHEAP alternative, teenybopper stores like Anchor Blue and even Claire's ALWAYS seem to have star shaped jewelry. As long as you don't mind having green earlobes...
