Given Taylor Momsen's mature and experimental sense of style, it's hard to believe she's only 15 years old. The actress loves to wear dresses, but this is the first time we're seeing her in something so elegant and fancy.
At Metropolitan Opera's 125th Season Opening Night Gala in NYC, Taylor donned a crimson strapless, pleated Marchesa number that almost blends in with the red carpet. Red is a bold statement and the silhouette adds even more drama. I'm curious to get your thoughts. Do you love it? Hate It?

love it but its a bit much for her age
1It's unique. I'm sick of cliche, tight, charmeuse dresses. When it comes to being age-appropriate, it just needs to be somewhat modest and display the girl's personality, and I think this dress does that.
2I love it but not on her. For some reason she looks double her age, but it's not a compliment. I can see a slightly older actress really pulling this off with a grace that comes with age.
3i love the dress, but i dont care for it on her. it weighs her down too much and it's just not the best look in my opinion. i can't believe that she's so young, but at least that means that GG is staying true to the high school thing - whereas so many shows don't necessarily do that anymore.
4Can the girl learn to stand up straight - she is supposed to be a model.
5Love the dress, HATE the hair!
6it is a gorgeous dress, but i have to agree that she is much too young for it...she looks scary in that "i'm playing dress up" kind of way, like she should be in her mother's bedroom, not in public on a red carpet
7so true but i would love to see it on someone like christina or scarlet
8Something seems SO off.
9beautiful dress, but it makes me a little uncomfortable for a 15 year old to be showing a lot of cleavage. she's very pretty, though!
10Thought one: Boobs. 15-year-old boobs.
11Thought two: Her shag haircut is somewhat tragic.
oh, I absolutely adore the dress...I too, do not care for her hair.
12She is so tiny..it looks like the red carpet is attacking her and eating her up.
13A reasonably pretty dress ruined by really rotten posture.
14I love it I think she's gorgeous and great style for a young girl. I love the color on her with her blond hair and I like that she still looks fresh and young in such a dramatic gown
15SHE"S 15!!! totally inappropriate.

Maybe her stylist listened to this advice? Although I agree that it's a bit mature, it's much better than her attempts at goth-chic.
17I like it but I think that at fifteen, regardless of how great she looks, it's inappropriate. If Miley Cyrus were wearing this she'd get hell for it... I think that it's because Taylor looks so much older that some peole aren't as taken aback.
18Love the dress, but she looks scaringly skinny.
19I really love the dress, but not for her. A 15 year old should not be showing that much cleavage. sorry.
20mmm... too much cleavage
21amd she should stand up straight
and what's with the hair..
No no and no. I wouldn't wear it and I really don't think it looks good on her either. Eek.
22So stunning.
23I really don't care for it. I didn't recognize her. She just does not look like her normally cute self. Wayy to grown up. Plus the hair is pretty bad.
24I don't understand where all these negative comments are coming from!
Before I realized who it was (or for that matter, how old she is), I thought the picture was of some high-profile actress. She looks absolutely stunning, regardless of age. True, something a bit more modest may have been a better choice... but hey! you're only young once... why not flaunt what you have? She pulls it off, and still manages to look classy despite the obvious cleavage.
And her hair.. what's wrong with it?! It's super "modern" - love it!
25she's too young for the dress. maybe if it was in a less severe color. i'd love to see it in a pastel of some sort. also, the bodice is a bit too much for a girl of such a young age.
and it seems like we have a similar haircut. either put it all up or leave it down. it's awkward here.
26i love these teired marchesa dresses! she's got such a great sense of style, and it looks great on her.
27I totally disagree with all of you! I think she looks fabulous! I agree that she needs to learn to stand up straight (ugggh, so annoying!), but I think that gorgeous dress looks amazing and fun on her. However, I do agree that that hair is awful! THAT is what ages her so terribly and totally ruins this beautiful dress...
28she looks like shes floating in it.
29i just don't think shes carrying it well enough
and something needs to be done about her hair..
I adore the dress...but she looks like a little girl playing dress up in Mom's fancy clothes!
30This dress could look amazing on someone with grace and classic good looks.
31I'm having trouble with her horrible posture!!
32This is a great look for her! Yes, I agree it makes her look twice her age, but she still pulls it off well. I'm just not a huge fan of the new bangs/cut.
33I have to say I absolutely hate this style of dress. Agree with CYL: the red carpet that decided to claw itself up her legs and swallow her whole.
34I like the dress, but her horrible posture makes it look like it's falling off her. Her hair is also really frumpy.
35love the dress, but i don't think she should be wearing it. She should be wearing fun and flirty dresses, considering she's only 15!
36It's insane how fast kids want to grow up. She does have a sophisticated look for a 15-year old, but her stylist should've approached her look differently. I do LOVE the dress though...and personally I love her hair...just not with the dress or the event.
37Love the dress, don't like the hair.
38the dress is pretty and i wouldn't mind it on her minus the cleavage, it is too much. and i know she's 15 and 15 yr olds are skinny but in the other shots i saw of her from this event it is hard to deny how severely bony she is
39I think the dress would've been breathtaking on someone else, but I get this little-girl-in-mommy's-shoes vibe from this picture. Can't she wear something a little more age-appropriate?
40pretty dress, great colour, just too much cleavage for her
41If her age hadn't been stated I'm sure people wouldn't be bagging her out for being 15. Despite her age she looks gorgeous. I also think her hair looks good with the dress, it gives her two focuses: The face and dress. If she had curled it it may have looked better and flowed with the dress more.
42the dress is Gorgeous!! oh marchesa!!
43It's a beautiful dress but it feels wrong for her, not necessarily because of her age, but something is just...off about it. Her hair and makeup feels all wrong too. She looks like Christina Aguilera, and that's not a compliment.
44She's a 15 year old American Girl and this is too much. I wouldn't have hated it on lady in her early 20's and beyond with the same styling but this is just too much!
45I mean loved it on a lady in her early 20's .....
46I think she looks beautiful...but a lot older than 15.
47The neckline looks weird and her hair and makeup is horrible!
48I LOVE the dress, it's gorgeous. I think everything by Marchesa is, though!
I'm not feeling those bangs though...
49love the dress but she is turning into all the other tween celebs out there and I am so tired of it. Why can't these girls just dress their age? I feel like they are trying too hard to look so grown up.
