I've been collecting booties a couple seasons now, so I already have the quintessential black, and I even have the off-kilter gray. Bootie power is still going strong — it's time to mix things up. Many celebrities and fashion folks are looking to rock 'n' roll black leather and gold studs for their tough fix, but I'm digging a little deeper. Glam rock anyone? These Stuart Weitzman Platform Booties ($355) aren't your next door fashionista's bootie. The purple hue is right out of Velvet Goldmine, the brown wooden platform is boogie night ready, and the open toe plays peekaboo.

1I am loving deep purples for fall -- only thing I love more is Fab referencing Velvet Goldmine. Good taste.
2holleighz I agree on the Velvet Goldmine reference! Go Fab! Love the booties, they are a great shape... but I'm pretty sick of purples. I'd do them if they were hot pink (with leopard tights!)

4I'm just coming around to the whole bootie idea. That being said, I think my first pair is going to have to the the Tory Burch Whitney bootie. It was love at first sight!

The color of these is tres royale riche, but the hidden platform bugs me. It screws with the proportion of the shoe and makes it look like the ball of the foot is 4" thick.
