If you do it right, lamé can look like a shimmering sheen of goodness. Done wrong, you'll most likely end up looking, well, lame. I need your opinion on this Pencey Lamé Wrap Jacket ($253). I like the relaxed shape and metallic shine, but is it borderline tacky?

Ewwww, is she taking a Trip to the Moon?
Yes Fab this is very tacky
I have never been a fan of Lame. However, I do like the shape and the silver color. Maybe if it was in cashmere and a graphite gray...then yes.
Surprisngly, I like it.. Could see Rihanna rocking it... Hell, I think I can pull it off
lol
yeah, rnicolew, i think it's definitely rihanna's style. but i just don't like it. i wish the jacket had more structure, then i think it would be okay.
I definitely like the shape, but lame just brings back memories of lame leggings and tackiness.
It's just so, so ugly.
I love Pencey, and I love a good wrap jacket, but lame scares me and always has. I think this would work on the right person in the right outfit, but it'd be a fashion failure more likely than not.
I don't think anything could redeem a shapeless piece of silverish plastic. It went out of style for a very good reason.
It looks cheap.
It would look great with the right outfit...it looks not look great with this outfit, that's for sure. I think it's cute. You people are so picky!
Ew. EW.
Lame has it's place and it can be fantastic if it's styled correctly. This is NOT the right way to wear it.
It looks like something David Bowie would have worn when her stared in Labyrinth.
Ugh. I don't like that material at all.
I like it, but it is borderline tacky - I don't know, it's a good concept but there's something off that I just can't put my finger on - I don't hate it though...
Oh no no no.
its not 2005 anymore
