I'm not sure I like this trend I believe they are pretty hard to wear , not everybody can look good in them , you have to know how to wear them

I'm torn on this trend... the high waist will help hold in my love handles, but emphasize my tummy. What to do, what to do?

I agree with the other commenters- if you have an ass, or a even a little bit of stomach pooch, I dont think these are a good idea.

I'm so used to my super low rise jeans that I'm scared to part with them.
This trend looks amazing on tall people, but I'm sure they'd look awful on a short arse like me.

Hi lassies. Actually I recommend this look for a curvier figure - look at who's modeling them above: Ciara & J Lo, who both have some junk in the trunk! Plus, it tucks in the tummy. It's at least worth trying on a pair because this trend carries over into the Fall! xo

i agree with fab sugar about the figure debate..i think the wide leg can disguise a bigger tummy/thigh area...no more muffin top! i really like this trend

I have a really short torso and a huge bosom, so there's no way I'd wear these. I don't love them, either way.

I could wear these ... as long as I put them on in the morning and didn't eat food for the rest of the day!

I feel like high waisted pants (or even pants that sit just slightly below the waist, as opposed to low rises) make flat butts look terrible! I have to wear low rise or else my butt just disappears. Also I think it makes butts look really droopy and long.

I love high waisted pants, although I love my extreme low rise I cant wait to go by a pair of those bad boys.

That is certainly true, GreenSkittlesGal, but I say embrace the flat butt look (all the high-fashion models have flat tushes) for the sake of fashion! I sure do. I am actually wearing high-waisted jeans today and yes, my flat butt does look pretty darn flat, but I could care less cause it still looks stylish and current. I'm not saying embrace the flat-butt look every single day, but don't be scared to do it once in a while. Although some males may not appreciate the look, you know some fashionable gals will and that's more of a compliment in my book because girls get fashion and most guys don't.

Of course everyone knows their body and what looks good so stick to what makes you comfy! That's what it's all about.

The look is insanely cute, and a flat booty will do me a lot of good.

Yeah they might get rid of the dreaded "muffin top", but on a girl whos not stick thin I can imagine someone getting "mommy gut"(when you have this huge bump under the button to the crotch) and thats not attactive. I can see it hiding a small pooch but, I just cant see how these would be flattering on anyone whos not under a size 4????

Can't pull this off sadly, since my legs are uber short. The Diesel pair in their catalogue's so cool but really hard to wear.

I think these look good or curvy girls...the high waist balances hips and thighs. Just make sure you go wide legged if you're curvy. Also, short people can pull them off because they elongate the leg--just get some tall shoes for crying out loud.

I can just see saddle bags being accentuated and undesirable areas highlighted. Also, I am short and it just wouldn't work for me.
I would have a fear of getting the front butt wearing these type of pants!!

Best worn wide-legged over skinny. I think they only look good worn by someone with a svelte figure. Definitely not for someone with curves.

Totally flatteribg, I've worn them and LOVE them, much easier to wear than low rise too, no thongage hanging out, but you HAVE to wear a proper fitting thong
I only like them with a wide leg though, but that's just me I dress very 60's/70's
