Band-Aid Activ-Flex Blister Block Stick, $7, is the latest and greatest invention for blister prevention! It's the end all be all excuse for buying ridiculously expensive and uncomfortable shoes. Ahh, and this also happens to be great for your wedding day because let's face it: you can't really break in your wedding shoes without running the risk of getting them dirty!
This new product is an invisible shield that you swipe over the areas on your feet where you would normally get a blister. It actually looks kinda like a deodorant stick. The emollient coats and protects the skin from being rubbed raw by the friction of your stiff shoe. And, because it's invisible, it's safe to wear with open toe shoes and it isn't messy so it won't damage your shoes.

I will be buying this!
This is faboulase! I always get blisters on the front of my foot in the same place!
Ooooo, I need this!
Can I soak my feet in this stuff??????
I just bought this. So weird. I saw it in an ad in vogue this month and thoughts such as "my Christian Louboutin patent leather platforms wont make me want a wheel chair" went running through my head. It works amazingly well. I can run in my heels and keep that bright shiny smile on my face. Oh the joy of products.
Tip for breaking in wedding shoes -- wear them around a carpeted room in your house while wearing a pair or two of thick socks. The socks will stretch the shoes in all the right places, and if you're wearing them on carpeting in your own home, you won't get the shoes dirty.
whoa! heck yeah! totally getting this. i've been getting a few shoe inserts for ball-of-foot and heel and such, but this sounds great! cute shoes tend to be painful!
So basically it's like a lubricant, right? I'll have to try it!
is it available at most pharmacy/drugstores yet?
and thanks for the wedding shoes tip! i am a bridesmaid in a wedding in june and was trying to figure out a way to break in the platinum satin shoes without getting them stained with new york city gunk (also known as whatever that stuff is now on my feet after wearing flip flops out and about...ick)
adding to my shopping list right now...
Gee----I always wondered if the ridiculously expensive shoes, like Christian Louboutins, would be more comfortable as well as not give you blisters. Guess I was wrong.
That makes me feel a little better, since I could never afford shoes like that.
want and need. i will never by band-aids again!
But ... does it actually work?
If it does, I'm buying it ASAP!
That's so cool! I need that.
Spray antiperspirant is supposed to do the same thing if sprayed on feet before wearing blister-inducing shoes.
i wish i had this the other day when i was walking around nyc with heels on. maybe i wouldn't have two of the biggest blisters known to man if i had this stuff! ; (
Very interesting!
This is going to make my feet soooooo happy!
I love this stuff! I saw an ad for it and bought it last week before my trip to NY. The thing is, it doesn't really stop shoes from hurting. I have these patent leather peep-toes that always kill my toes by the end of the evening. When I used the blister block, they still hurt, BUT I didn't get a blister and the shoes didn't cut into my feet. So even though my feet hurt while I was wearing the shoes - they didn't the next day. I think it is worth buying!
Wow if this really works as well as it claims it is an amazing product! I hate breaking in a new pair of shoes
This could really help!
I'm totally buying this next time I'm at the drugstore!! Thanks for posting about it!
Wow!! I am definitely going to get this!
I'm buying this!
i think i just find my new best friend!! =D haha...
Hurrah! There are so many flats that have been calling my name, but I don't know what to wear with them besides band-aids to make them more comfortable!
-Bug
has anybody tried these yet and if so how was it
HELLS YEAH! this would be good for skating too...
What took them so long to invent this necessity? Brilliant.
These are great for preventing blisters when you're running too!
Thanks!!The last THREE pairs of shoes I've bought gave me huge blisters. The last pair nearly put me in a wheelchair.
oooh. i need this.. i get blisters like crazy!!
Does anyone know what brand the yellow shoes in the band-aid friction block ad in Vogue - June 2009 are?
BodyGlide works better, smells better, and is MUCH cheaper.
