Hot on the heels of its Charlotte Ronson deal, JCPenney has found its latest collaborator: Allen B. Schwartz. The mega-retailer has enlisted the LA-based designer to create a trendy and fun collection of dresses and sportswear.
Schwartz describes the collection as California cool. “Today, what is exploding is the antifit look, the crop look, the boy jean, ruffle blouses and the new harem pant. It’s very baggy, very ‘I Dream of Jeannie’ inspired said the designer. The line, set to launch in February, will include an array of tie-dyed knit tops, jumpsuits, dresses, and tops such as the ones seen above. Prices range from $30 for tees to $70 for dresses, and the collection will be available in stores and online at jcp.com.

Dress for Less
Eh. doesn't look as cute as Ronson's line, plus $30 for a tee at Penny's is lame.
1I agree...kind of blah. And not my style.
2It's already clear that juniors sizing will rule the day - that jacket will only work on the rail thin and long-waisted. If a designer is doing a line at Penney's, at least give the JCP customer a chance.
3JC Penny's is good for simple trends, but not really elaborate (not that I think it's a bad store - I shop there all the time). the pieces are ok, I even like the flirty white top, but it seems a little boring and a tad too expensive for JC Penny's...
4i don't care for that look but i've rarely found clothes i like at jcp. however, when i was at the store the other day they had some fabulous winter coats in a variety of styles and trends. there was leather, animal print, cashmere blend etc. i was shocked. they had this beautiful kelly green coat but it only came in petite.
