Fantastical Spring Footwear
Shoes have reached an extreme — I love it. You might be wondering, "I thought you were a flat girl, though, Fab." I am, I am. But I also escape reality via fantastical footwear. I have nowhere to wear these gutsy concoctions, or the means to buy them, but if I did, I would indulge (and suffer). Platforms and unstable heels caused a couple crashes down the catwalks, though, so a flat backlash might be on the horizon. In the meantime, feast your eyes on Pilati's cold caged sandal for YSL and more fantasies . . .

I *love* the YSL shoes, they remind me of the Eiffel Tower! Also love the Phillip Lim even though I'm a heels woman, I could see myself wearing and loving those to death. (I can dream that my local consignment shop will have both of these come in from some wealthy woman who's worn them once and discarded them so I can snag them at a fraction of the cost...) Those MJ shoes are stunning although I wonder how stable they are (of course by the time they get to the stores, they'll be toned down I'm sure.) The Prada shoes are -- hate to say it, as usually I love Prada and find them very comfy regardless of heel height -- fugly, looks like you're wearing peds, ewww. Take away that fabric piece, and they are pretty but nothing too special. And the Lanvin remind me of a craft project gone wrong, although the shape of the shoe is beautiful. I usually go for sparkly, but IMO these just don't look elegant, they look too thrown together.
1Yah, those YSL's are hot. i bet they won't be like that when they come out to stores though. That metal over the instep would kill you by the end of the day- will be interesting to see, atleast for me. haha
2Oh wow I've never seen a shoe like that before. With the wires and everything. I like the front but not the back so much.
3very innovative.
