Apparently, Eva Mendes is too sexy for America. A few months ago, Mendes's CK perfume ads were banned [1] and now the actress's ads for Calvin Klein's new lingerie line [2] have been considered too raunchy [3] for television by censors in the US.
"I was surprised at the fuss because the ad I did is so typically Calvin, where it's really pushing the envelope. It's so tasteful," said Mendes [4]. "You do see a bit of my breast revealed but it's so quick that I was like, "Oh, come on, guys!"
One would question why showing a little skin gets censored while blood and gore are seen across America's television screens on a regular basis . . .
