Some of you restrained yourselves when I shared the final Project Runway collections in September. Then, it was still six designers in the running, so I witnessed final collections by Joe, Jerell, Suede, Kenley, Korto, and Leanne. I still don't understand why this isn't planned better. I firmly believe only the final three should show at the tents. Plus, it's a waste of money. Anyway, another Project Runway has come and gone and now you can view them all! And, you can buy them all! While we await the decision on the future of next season, I want to share what I then observed about the winner's collection. I'm not one to toot my own horn, but I had a feeling Leanne would win. Last night, Kenley's collection wowed me over once again and for a second I thought she might win. Alas, a bad attitude and unoriginality spoiled Kenley's chance.
Here's what I thought about Leanne's collection right after I saw it — nothing has changed. It was fresh, innovative, and gorgeous.

Funny how the six collections gradually got better. I think Leanne is going to win. Her collection was as stellar as any of the professional collections from the week. It was conceptual, beautiful, and theatrical. Leanne claimed she "lost a million hours of sleep" over it, and it showed. Sculptural skirts, dresses, and gowns floated down the runway to the beat of a neutral, cool palette. The craftsmanship was expert and you could just feel the adoration in the air. I would wear the ivory off-shoulder top and turquoise petal skirt and the ivory and beige corset mini dress in a heartbeat. And her modern wedding dress blew Suede's off the (project) runway.

I'm so so so happy Leanna won! I was rooting for since the very beginning. She definitely deserved it! I thought all their lines were very nice, but I didn't think Kenley's was very cohesive. I ultimately would have been happy if either Leanna or Korto won.

2WOW, I must be the only one who failed to get Leanne. She always had the same look, I thought both Korto's and Kenley's lines were much more versatile and colorful. I just got really tired of the flapping fabric. I only really liked the one gown her winning model wore and I really didn't like her wedding dress.
3Oh, I noticed one of the prior Next Top Model contestants modeled in Korto's show. She modeled her short, very short green dress.

5Leanne's last dress was GORGEOUS, and I loved her overall color scheme. I was disappointed it Korto's collection, but I had really high expectations for her, and although I liked one or two of Kenley's I thought it was kind of a weird collection and she CERTAINLY had knock-offs in there. HATE her attitude. Really ugly.

10what was good abotu leanne- and the judges pointed it out- is she showed she could do a bit of everything- pants, shorts, skirts, short dresses, long gowns, tops. she really did have it all in there and it all looked so put together. the craftmanship looked great from what tv showed! i would have liked to seen maybe one or two more colors in there, but all in all i thought it was beautifully done. i'd wear those ivory pants in a second
11I thought Leanne's collection was a little bit redundant. everything was the same color, same petals. But I did appreciate the fact that she had pants, tops, skirts, etc. I really liked Corto's collection in the finale but feel that overall Leanne did very well throughout the season and has really great potential.
12I knew Leanne was going to win since episode 1. Although I really wanted for Korto to win also cause she seemed really sweet and she is really talented.
Kenley clearly copied ideas even if she didnt realize it. Which, come on, you are a fashion designer and you NEVER look at Vogue or Style.com??? Really?

Leanne is so fantastic. I would buy her dresses in a heartbeat. Did any of you see her website? The style of the dresses she comes up with are just beautiful.
14i'm so stoked leanne won. and i was even more stoked to see dani and bianca from ANTM. fierce. that all i have to say.
kenley should take this experience as a lesson to listen and respect others, you never know what power they may hold later.
15I personally liked Korto's collection better. Leanne's collection seemed very repetitive. I was surprised she used only two colors!
16I was happy to see Leanne win. Go Portland! I think Kenley is a liar when she said that she doesn't look at other deisgners. That painted floral dress was totally Balenciaga her attitude and no orginality killed her.
17I thought Korto should have won - her collection was fun and cohesive without looking the same. Leanne's was a little boring and very much the same but I would have been happy with either Korto or Leanne...at least it wasn't Kenley!
18I loved Leanne and Korto, but I'm happy Leanna won. Her line was very creative. And I love what she wore to her show... very cute!

20I was thrilled that Leanne won, but I wasn't sure she would after I saw the runway show...I thought all 3 ladies had fabulous collections, and I was nervous that Korto or Kenley might beat Leanne out. I'm so glad that didn't happen!

26i had to tune into Bravo again today to see these collections since they were re-airing parts 1 and 2 of the finale. i do think that the best person won, but i know that korto will have a lot of success in the future. the thing that wows me is that leane was able to take her original wedding dress and rework it to make it into what we see here. i think that it was a smart move for her to take the petals out of that dress since it was a bit TOO over the top even for couture.

28Congrats to Leanne! I liked what she did, but I was torn between her and Korto. Either one would have been fine with me. Overall, this year's cast wasn't as talented as last year's. Christian Sirano is my favorite winner from all of the season's that I have seen. He's definitely a visionary.
29I was so in love with Leanne's collection. She is fantastic and super adorable.
30I have often questioned the judges through this season, but when I saw the "6" final shows, it was totally obvious that
1) they choose the right 3 finalists - love love love Suede but his show was awful, ditto Joe & Jerell
2) they definitely got the winner right too.
I liked Korto's challenge designs better and I wonder if she does better with less time? - less time to overwork and overthink. Just look at the 2 dresses she whipped up at the last moment and compare them to that white ruffled thing.
Leanne's colors were muted but the shapes were incredible, AND new looking. That was what really impressed me - I'd never seen stuff like hers. Whereas Kenley's, while cool, looked like a mismatch of other designers.
It's interesting to read the Bluefly.com's show consultant impressions. She illustrates how Kenley's lack of professionalism (or even maturity) WILL hurt her as she tries to move forward.
