I love wearing ruffles up top, but I've always been hesitant to wear them on the lower half of my body. A ruffly bottom is too feminine for my taste, but I do love this Thayer Shatter Ruffle Skirt ($187). I like how the blood red color and iridescent lamé finish tones down the girly tiers. Is this Fab potential or should I pass?

I wore that to my first day of fifth grade. It didn't look good then, and it doesn't now!
Maybe its my wide computer screen, but that skirt makes even that skinny model's thighs and legs look chunky! Nooooooooooo thanks.
too 80's in a bad way!
Yes, way too of an 80s look for me. I have wide hips and would hate to emphasize it with this skirt.
Okay... This way popular in the 80's...then again circa 2004...isn't it a little early to be bringing it back again?!
I like it! And the models legs look great, IMO.
Omigad! I'm having serious flashbacks! NO NO NO!!!!!! Nothing could make this skirt work. NOTHING.
i actually like it is very feminine
I like the skirt, but I definitely think it looks best on a certain body type. I've got hips so it may not give them the slimming effect I usually look for in skirts.
ewww..if this type of style comes back I will be disgusted.
I forgot to mention that almost anything with an elastic waistband is grotesque.
It reminds me of a dance recital costume or something...no way.
I like ruffle skirts but I dislike this one's color. Plus, I don't feel that I should be wearing ruffle skirts.
I hate anything with tiers, and I hate everything about this skirt - especially that color - who wants to wear something the color of blood?
The Thayer collections look like they have been designed and sewn by an awkward and talentless girl in middle school. I am sorry but when was it ever OK to have an elastic waist band? The fabric quality in most Thayer garments look as if it came out of the 1$ a yard bin at Jo-Anns. To charge almost $200 for this skirt is preposterous when it looks like it came from the Forever 21 Holiday season collection.
