Twiggy may no longer scream mod queen, but circa 1960s, she was highly popular for her high-fashion mod look. If you're looking to mimic someone with a bold, youthful signature style this Halloween, Twiggy is your girl. Inspired by the mod creations of English fashion designer Mary Quant, the supermodel wore everything from mini skirts to shift dresses, go-go boots to funky print dresses, sequins to plaid. Twiggy, whose real name is Lesley Hornby, wasn't merely known for her stick skinny body (hence the childhood nickname) and quirky fashion sense; she also spearheaded the application of fake lashes under bottom lashes and the androgynous pixie haircut. Groovy.

I feel like anyone who can actually pull off being Twiggy for Halloween should be rocking that look all the time.
1
the twiggy look!
2
yet another good idea...
3Love it but too tubby to pull it off.
4My friends and I were '60s icons 2 years ago. I was Edie Sedgwick, and my 2 friends were Twiggy and Penelope Tree.
5Super-cute! I love this idea.
6Great idea fashion4ward!
7I totally agree, jasmint. If I could pull off that look all the time, I definitely would.
8jasmint is totally right - I would if I could. that being said, I friken love Twiggy - she was my mom's favorite model as a teen, and I grew to love her on ANTM - but I feel like this would almost look like a regular look, since a lot of mod clothing is in style now. maybe that's just me though. fashion4ward, I love that idea! I would want to be Penelope Tree and wear the crazy scandalous black dress that she wore:
