Starting May 6 (Sunday!), budget-loving fashionistas can go sweep up Target's latest Go International collaboration with American designer, Patrick Robinson. In case you're unfamiliar with Patrick, he started out designing surfer clothes at the age of 14 for his friends in Southern California. Moving to the East Coast, he graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York and went on to work for some of the most well-known fashion houses in the business: Georgio Armani, Anne Klein, Perry Ellis and most recently, Paco Rabanne.

Patrick's collection for Target is characterized as boho chic and includes warm weather pieces like loose cotton tanks, jersey dresses, tunics, shorts, cropped canvas vests and swimwear, all ranging from $13 to $45. What I am psyched about is the Mediterranean-inspired patterns in Patrick's collection, especially the Pleated Dress in Brown Medallion Print, $35. This would be Fab for my upcoming trip to Greece!

That's what makes Target so great, they have more stylish stuff at lower prices!
8This looks kind of exciting! I really like a lot of the pieces.
9cute! I love Target!!
10For some reason I'm just not as excited for Patrick Robinson as I was for Proenza Schouler.
11You spelled Giorgio Armani wrong, please fix, you are a fashion website!
12This stuff looks beachy keen to me!
13The bikini is cute.
14Oooo i can't wait! Last time I went the day before and the stuff was out... so hopefully I will find some stuff tomorrow!
15The shorts in the first pic are great...to bad there's no Target in Europe
16Haha I'm an American living abroad in Britain and no one ever gets my excitement for Target ... I guess you could only compare it to the excitement felt here for Primark but then again Target has EVERYTHING!!! I love a lot of the clothes featured in the Go International line, but the cutting is always a little bit off, I've found and never fits me right. How frustrating!
17Target is so great.
18AHHHHHHH so excited
19These look awesome as well! I'm about to go check these out online, I LOVE TARGET!
20some of the pieces look nice
21I have been waiting 3 months for the promising Patrick Robinson because I thought the designs were the closest (and cheapest) way of reflecting my style. The medallion printed 3 quarter inch sleeve brown and cream dress was my absolute anticipated item. I tried on every item available at Target and to my dissapointed the fit and shape was not flattering on my body type (34B-26-36; 120 lbs, size 2-4- depends if the store is lying or being truthful to me).
I tried on a small and to my surprise, it was too large. I went for the XS, but the fit was still a little bit funky. The material was hard and rough and the fit did not conform to my waist, like shown on the model- who is by the way, absolutely petite, most likely, more petite than I am which thereby logic states, that she would be wearing the XS. However, the XS was too loose around my waist and back. I felt like somebody just wrapped a piece of hard curtain on me. I thought the fit would conform to my waist, much like a drop cinched waist, but really, it just fell STRAIGHT DOWN. Also, the print was not as intricate and detailed as it appeared. The pixellation was quite large, but not terrible.
Trust me, I wished my hardest that it could work. I was planning my entire wardrobe with this line.
Proenza Schouler was definitely higher quality than this. Even other Target brands, such as Mossimo are better than this. I know that Patrick Robinson is "laid back", but come on. Don't skimp on quality.
Overall, the other pieces gave me similar problems. I know that the entire line is supposed to be beach savvy, with a Meditteranean/Morrocan theme, however, I feel that it just isn't distinct enough.
22The lookbook is nice enough (I especially the bubbleskirt with the printed tank) but... once I poked around target I realized that when mixed into my closet or on my body, these aren't going to look nearly as chic as they do in that lookbook, and they aren't going to wear well. That said I'm glad to see more designers doing these Go lines, or participating in projects like Gap's recent white blouse thing. It's exciting.
23Relaxed and youthful it seems to be.
