The rumors were true! Target has just announced Alexander McQueen as its first designer in a new fashion series dubbed Designer Collaborations. Not to be mistaken for the popular Target Go International collections, the new Designer Collaborations initiative focuses on bringing creations from established designers to the mass market at Target prices. Nice!
The Alexander McQueen for Target collection is said to resemble the aesthetic of his younger McQ line, seen left. Drawing inspiration from punk singer, Leila Moss, from The Duke Spirit, McQueen's collection will be adorned with edgy details such as studs and tattoo-print fabrics. Sweaters, skinny jeans, dresses, trench coats, swimwear, and blazers will be made in muted colors with bright accents. Squirming with excitement? The highly touted collection will debut in March. We can't wait!

Oh yay!!! I can't wait to see it!!
I love Target but their clothes are over-priced for the actual quality that they are. I've bought a lot of stuff from Target and it just seems to fall apart.
Oh wow, this one should be interesting!
The word "studs" kind of scares me, yet I'm still intrigued.

OH MY GOD! I hope it lives up to my excitement!

squirming with excitement?! more like shaking uncontrollably! Alexander McQueen is hands-down my favorite fashion designer, and I cannot wait until I can actually afford his pieces!!!!!!!!!! this is exactly why Target is the best store ever...
I am so excited.... But kinda scared. I the "studs and leopard print" worries me.. It could end up really tacky.
I am hopeful but still pessimistic, because tattoo, leopard, and studs to me says tacky!
Oh, and if there is anything even REMOTELY like that peacock dress in the Glamour.com article, I will pee my pants as I wait in line for it, and I'll do it with a smile on my face.
(sorry about that visual!)
I'm beyond excited!
I think it's seriously fantastic that Target works so hard to bring fashion to the mass-market. Also, I'm really glad that famous designers see the worth in it. I mean- Alexander McQueen- wow!
Cadi Con Carne- I just had to look up the dress you were talking about, and I will say it is definitely pee-worthy!
Wow this sounds great, because I love Alexander McQueen AND Target, but studs and tattoo print? Hmm...

I will so be there come March. I am getting married the month after so I will have to set aside some funds for this collection that I can't miss.
Cool. I was sad to hear Isaac Mizrahi is ending his stint with Target.
I am beyond excited for this. Wonder when the first sneak peek pics will surface? Soon I hope!
This is really exciting! We need a collection with a bit more edge
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one flipping my wig for this collection!
