Gwyneth Paltrow confidently walked the Parisian red carpet at the premiere of her movie Two Lovers. Admit it: She took a risk wearing this Antonio Berardi sheer lace dress from his Spring '09 collection. Clearly we can see her panties and bra, but since that's the point of the frock, she doesn't seem to mind.
Her black and white booties match her dress so perfectly, you would think they were made by the same designer. Negatory, they're Rupert Sanderson's Kit Kat shoe boots ($1,100). A diamond necklace and earrings lend shine and sophistication to the look. What do you think? Did Gwyneth shut it down or did she reveal too much?

If the entire dress were black it'd look fantastic! But, it doesnt.
1I agree, I'd like it better if it were all one color. I don't care for this at all.
2I really like it, but I would LOVE it if it didn't show her underwear trough the dress
3Not flattering, and she can pull off almost anything...
4minus the shoes, awesome.
5THOSE SHOES ARE GROSS
No, no, no!
6I dont like the part hanging down into the white it looks wrong!
7so wrong....the shoes are horrible!!!
8If you are going to show your undies, don't wear grannie panties. Plus, what's with those shoes? It looks like she is wearing socks with them.
9I love the dress, but the shoes are overkill. I think the outfit is too matchy-matchy, some nice strappy heels would have been a better fit.
10I agree with you Autumns, If the dress were black it would be better. I HATE the shoes. the bootie thing is just not flattering on anyone, it cuts you legs off at the ankle. I hope that trend goes away.
11I liked it until I could see her white lingerie. Plus I'm not liking the shoes.
12they don't look like granny panties...maybe hipster boyshorts.
13At some point, I think she has to admit that she's not in her 20's and can't wear absolutely anything. This probably would have looked alot better on someone much younger, perhaps Britney or even Ashley Simpson, but not GP. Just because her husband is in a band doesn't mean she's a rocker. The shoes are horrible for the outfit, with that kind of dress, she needs some color contrast, RED heels would have been great! Of course, NUDE underwear is a necessity or better yet, commando!
14Did she "shut it down"? What the hell?
Is that what the kids are saying these
days?
15if the dress have a nude layer under the lacing so we cannot see her bra or underwear, it would be been ok. but hey at least we know now that she wears underwear
16Faced it Maddielove.LOL!
17YIKES! She looks horrible!
18it's dreadful. and if you're gonna do the sheer black lace thing, then black underwear would be infinitely better than white underwear. and she's too old for that, anyway. put an actual dress on, you're a mother. i don't like the shoes, either.
19It it just me or does it look like her chest area (spanning from below her collar bone and between her shoulders) is.... sagging? Like... melting off her body.
20i really wish the middle part wasn't SO sheer.....
21it would be so perfect!
I like the dress (really!), but the shoes ruin it. Makes her look small!
22Wait, I thought the lacy parts are there so that you DON'T have to wear underwear under it.. yet she did. I dunno, that dress is all sorts of wrong.
23I think she is fabulous and can wear anything! And on normal bodies the bootie cuts people off at the ankle, but on Gwyneth Paltrow, and her amazing legs, they look great! I love love love this look!
24I love it.
25Too much is going on, and the jewelry doesn't go with the dress which doesn't go with the shoes.
26I like the idea - maybe if the black had gone all the way down with just the white outline i would have liked it better ... not a fan of the botties - probably something more feminine would have been better! but boy is she gorgeous!!
27Stupid looking outfit. The booties make her look like she's wearing socks, and the dress looks tacky.
28She needed nude panties and nude patent pumps, IMO. I like the dress alright.
29I really like the idea of the design, but the designer should have put black satin layer underneath or something, otherwise it's just so difficult to wear and looks tacky.
30this is just weird. i normally love all of her choices. not this time.
31orrible and vulgar.
32why?? she was doing sooo
33great.....
never liked her..she's so plain jane, ho hum, look at my granny panties.....ew.
34i dont like that dress. her hairstyle is kind of lame too
35i think its just awful
36maybe it would look better if it was all black like some other posters said.
but still, the underwear showing thing is so tacky.
no
... she shoudl've ditched the knickers...
37Um, why?
38i love the shoes - hate the dress. i don't know - i'm just not into the whole lace see-through look. it doesn't do it for me...not even on gwyn
39first of all Gweneth is supposed to be classy and mature not trashy.
40second wtf is up with that black bar at the bottom of the dress.
this dress was a mistake
I don't think it's bad because it's too revealing, I just think that dress is ug-ly. I love the shoes, though...
41i click LOVE IT cuz luckily this dress is on classy Gwyn and she can pull off almost anything. Imagine if it's on some of the young hollywood and it'll directly go TRASHY.
42Like the dress. Hate the shoes. Also, strange underwear choice.
43Hate the shoes, at least with the dress. An elegant dress needs an elegant shoe, those are just too bulky.
I would like the dress if the lace were an overlay instead of actually lace.
44it's all just kind of...awkward. and WTF at the socks illusion. hate that.
45I like the dress, but she did NOT pull it off. At first I thought those were tan lines and was really put off when I realized she was going for the "check out my underwear!" look. And granny panties, no less! She should have worn this with a slip.
46maybe if there was black undies and not white...or maybe if that part in particular had a black slip under it?! I don't know, but I will admit something is off.
