My friend and I were discussing this actually - at what age are you 'old' enough to wear brooches. It's a very late 40s early 50s type age thing to do somehow. I only ever wear brooches on my winter coats, although there is no reason not to wear them at other times. It just doesn't seem age appropriate somehow though!
