When I wasn't watching Edward sparkle in the sunlight in Twilight, I was watching how costume designer Wendy Chuck brought the characters to life, or undead, through the movie wardrobe.
Not many people consider the Pacific Northwest to be a fashionable area, what with all the anoraks, knits, and slosh-retardant boots. But when Bella arrived in Forks she brought with her romance, just ask Edward, he smelled her from a mile away. Here she is in the classroom looking pretty pale herself. But her Lucky brand embroidered blouse softened things up, while her silver jewelry deemed her a boho. Her hair is a gorgeous dark reddish brown and a thin brown braided headband is subtly pretty. She wore jeans throughout the film, as well as oversized rain jackets and clunky boots. "These three things I was certain . . . ".

I saw the film at midnight, and I liked her simple and cute wardrobe. Not to mention Kristen Stewart is a beautiful girl. I want the dark reddish hair color!
1I liked how she wore loose fitting plaid shirts over a fitted t-shirt, that's one of my favorite styles.
2goin tonight to see it...im really diggin her jewelery in all the promos...doesnt seem very "bella" but cool non the less
3"No one considers the Pacific Northwest to be a fashionable area, what with all the anoraks, knits, and slosh-retardant boots."
Home sweet home.
4Any idea which designer/brand made the bracelet Bella wears in the photo above? I absolutely love it.
5Me too, Leeluvfashion! I'm on the hunt for a similar one...it will be mine! LOL. I've seen a few online that are pretty close.
6Oh, and I liked her wardrobe in the movie...very casual but cute at the same time. Definitely the kind of stuff I like to wear on an average day.
7I haven't seen the movie yet but I'm not sure her wardrobe is really me. I think some of the pieces yes but not the way it's all together.
8Im liking the dark red hair too. And i love those jeans.
9blegh, boring, although I'm probably biased just because I HATE THIS BOOK AND MOVIE (I know, I'm the only one)!
10lol!!!!
11lizlee, you are not the only one! =)
12i am not a fan of super-hyped book/movies.
She's sooooo beautiful.
13wow, i too was checking out her bohemian shirt! i plan on visiting Seattle next year and, coming from a place that rarely rains, this movie was a great tutorial for me on how to dress.
14i also loved the gray jacket edward often wore, and the fitting cut of his suit at the end.
this movie was AMAZING. robert pattison is so f-ing sexy. i want him!!!!!!! ahahhaha but yes, bella had a very, well, bella wardrobe! it was perfect for her character. EDWARD COME TAKE ME!!!!
15well i think that from what i've seen of the movie, the style is really great for the characters. the looks are age appropriate and really fit in with the ambiance of what we're seeing. we're planning to see it tonight, so i'll know for sure if it's pulled through the entire movie.
16I, too, REALLY want that bracelet. It's bloody gorgeous. Looks like a marquis cut blue topaz, but I could be wrong. Hey Fab, any luck?
17I think it's turquoise, Cadi Con Carne, or at least it looks it to me. Especially since Bella moved from Arizona, I figured her jewelry probably had a Southwest influence to it...
18Ah ok, that makes sense...I confess I haven't read the books (sorry, I'm in an Elizabeth I phase at the moment), but mentioning that, I get it. I saw the variegation and thought it was facets.
19I was surprised at the clothes too since in the book she wasn't exactly dressing fly all the time.
20I wish I could have had her wear some of my "darker," gothy type jewelry...would have been so cute! www.twinklestudio.etsy.com. She's adorable anyway!
21she wore a puple plaid jacket and i want it....pattinson is gorgeous
22I loved her clothes in the movie.
And I had to laugh at the "plaid shirt as outerwear"... that's such a Pacific Northwest thing to do!
23i wanna know what kind of shoes she wore in the meadow scene, adorable!
24If you live in australia, you can get the runners that bella wears during the prom scene and im pretty sure she wears them suring the entire movie from big W. or you can by them froma converse store as well. i have a bracelet exactly like the one bella is wearing in the picture on this page:) apart from i got mine from my grandma a year ago, and it is pretty old.
25Does anyone happen to know the designer for Bella Swan's brown leather handbag that has a blue design on it? Been looking everywhere for it and can't seem to find it.
26Her style didn't make much of an impression on me. Sorry!
27I know it's a long shot, but does anyone know where the green-print hooded sweater Bella wore is from?
