A few months back I was on a fringe bootie hunt that proved unsuccessful. I thought, how cool if I made a detachable fringe piece to add to my regular booties? Alas, someone else did the hard work for me! Check out this Boot Hugs Detachable Suede Fringe ($20), which you wrap at the ankle of your booties. It's finished with a drawstring suede cord closure so you can tighten as you wish. I don't recommend pairing it with tall boots — since the fringe is short, it would look silly.

3actually, I take that back. I was reading Elle, and there was this amazing black Lanvin dress that was all fringe, but the fringe was long and made of some luxurious fabric - it looked stunning! I don't know what it is, but about 99% of the time fringe looks awful. it's that rare 1% though that makes you drool...
