Though I appreciate all the colors of the rainbow (except putty!), I rarely wear orange. It is such an uplifting cheerful color, and I love orange-scented cosmetics, but if you look at my closet you will see very little orange (and putty!). But I think this Francesco Biasia Orange "Perfect Harmony Tote", $250, is darling. It really makes me wish I was at the Cannes Film Festival, as if I didn't wish it already. Those ivory and beige canvas stripes are youthful and fun and the tangerine leather is luxe. Topped off with gold hardware this is definitely a bag to have. 8Orange is a lovely color for summer (I have some orange toenail polish, but everyone other than me thinks it's hideous).
Let me also say to anyone who's thinking about going to Cannes -- it is REALLY easy to go as a civilian. You won't be on the red carpet, and you'll have to possess some major charisma to get into one of THOSE parties, but anybody can go. I happened to be in France during one summer and decided on a whim to attend the festival. I stayed in a great, cheap hotel one or two train stops away. Every morning I took the train in, stood in line to pick up some free tickets to movies showing around town, then watched the glamour. It was great!
