Sometimes it's wise to find a niche and stick to it. That's what costume designer, sculpture, and multi-media artist Kate Cusack did with zippers and jewelry. If, like me, you went gaga over Kate Bosworth's eco-chic zippered Philip Lim dress, you too can have your own zipper flair.
Kate Cusack Zipper Jewelry uses both gold (brass) and silver (aluminum) zippers and twists and turns it into fresh necklaces, flowered brooches, and conversational bracelets. All items are hand-sewn and oodles of colors are available. The necklaces range from $400-$1000, the bracelets $100-$400, and the brooches $70-$85. Check out Kate's etsy store to buy the goods.

cool and creative - I'm adding the bracelets to my wishlist!
1Wow, I'm kind of in love!!!
2overpriced much? This is something that you can DYI I don't see the value in spending that much go to Micheals Crafts get some zippers, a glue gun or needle and thread and have at it!
3Different...and very pricey.
4wow, I love!!!!!!!!
I wouldn't buy though, unless they're on ebay. Too pricey
5WOW I absolutely love zipper detailing. I definitely want some of these pieces
6OMG!!!!!!! IF ONLY. A GIRL CAN DREAM CAN'T SHE
7definitely interesting pieces. i don't know if i would wear them though.
8I love how gorgeous and different these are - although I agree that the prices are a bit steep...
9I take that back - those prices are INSANELY steep! $300 for a bracelet that doesn't even have jewels?! crazy...
10Yeah, the prices are a bit nuts. I'd hope that it speaks to perfect construction (sewn, not hot glued, etc), and I'm sure there's a lot of materials and time in there.
I still think it's a wonderful idea, and she makes some awesome pieces, but I do wish it was a little closer to my budget range. I'm a complete sucker for a fab statement piece of jewelry, and this definitely fits the bill!
11They're pretty, but I'm crafty and pretty sure I could make some myself. I wouldn't spend $300 on something that costs $5.00 from the craft store.
12Those are cute but I agree, the prices suck.
13really cool, but way too expensive
14So overpriced ugh...
