For his first ad campaign as creative director of Bally, designer Brian Atwood chose to work with supermodel Christy Turlington. And why not? She's still got what it takes. Mario Sorrenti snapped Christy and male model Oriol Elcacho as a sophisticated and nonchalant couple lounging poolside in Miami Beach. Nice. The vivid colors of the lawn chair, the crisp green grass, and blue pool water serve as a happy background for Atwood's slick shoes. Do you approve of the outcome or should Atwood have gone another direction?

I'm a fan.
So basically, all the designers are just using all the great models of the 80's and 90's instead of creating original ad campaigns - seriously, first it's Naomi Campbell, then Claudia Schiffer, now Christy. Christy is one of my favorite models; she's got such a stunning, unique face; but it makes me sad that her talent is wasted on such a blase ad - universities need to start turning out some new marketing people because the ones that are in the business now have no imagination whatsoever...
ah i like the colors a lot
The colors are nice, but unless this is advertising JUST the shoes, it fails at the basic premise of advertising.
Blech, they could've done better! Christy is beautiful though.
Christy Turlington still looks beautiful, but I feel the ad has a retro feel to it. Not sure if that is the direction they were going in, but it's okay - nothing to write home about.
i like the strategic use of primary color. if i were a guy i'd wear those shoes. they're awesome.
i like this ad
She's one of my favorite models and I didn't even recognize her. The ad is okay.
nothing special..
So, yet again Christy Turlington, the female spiritual/western version of the Dalai Lama and life like version of Venus (as assisted, which she hypocritically does not admit to, by plastic surgery with rhinoplasty and lip enhancement, likely among other procedures) is affiliated with shilling for a designer. Enlightened yogi Christy who, for all of our collective benefit contorted herself into a sensual yoga position on the cover of Time Magazine going back a while ago said that her priorities were to fully embrace her eastern philosophical approach to life and that modeling did not interest her other than it it was in the promotion of "higher thinking" Surely you have done this Christy as you shill shamelessly for Escada, Chanel and the like and I am sure this is all donated to charity rather than to your Nuala designed pockets of your toned yoga hips. Your hypocrisy approaches your "soulmate" Bono though you lack his poetic abilities. Work on that Christy the next time you enroll in the Gallatin school at NYU and try to pass that off as an authentic degree.
First, Christy looks stunningly beautiful as always. Second,MelanMarin's comments above are, as usual, unfortunate and ill-informed. Christy's hard work on humanitarian causes and her ongoing studies toward a Masters in Public Health speak volumes regarding her priorities and values. She is a genuine woman of great compassion. MelanMarin, whoever you are - move on. Your tired rants about Christy all over the internet are unproductive and simply angry. Christy has the ability to bring a great amount of attention to worthy causes - get out of her way - not that she'll let you slow her down anyway. Thank you, Christy!
I find Christy Turlington stunning and she seems to be a very special person. However, her lips look obviously enhanced and I don't see the need for it. I guess models are pressured to look a certain way but it is a bit disappointing that someone who seems so spiritual can be manipulated that way. Her lips look kind of weird, I have to say in spite of considering her one of the most beautiful models in the world. Let's hope she does not get crazy with more plastic surgery!
