Quick lesson: A dashiki is a garment widely worn in West Africa. That said, how do you feel about this Mara Hoffman Chiffon Dashiki ($319) hitting mass market? I love the print, but the loose cut and wide front slit seems unflattering. Do you think Mara translated this ethnic piece well or should she go back to the drawing board?

Hate the footware!
1Looks comfy, but not for me.
2i agree with fab the prints are nice other than that no no!
3Muumuu! A BAD muumuu!
4Cadi is absolutely right... Muumuu is the only word to describe this heinous dress!
5it looks like a skanky mu mu.
6front slits are so vulgar. hate everything but the print.
7Hates it.
8Love it. This would suit older, voluptuous women. What a stylish alternative to sweatpants!
9It would suit larger figures if it were better designed. I don't think the ethnic design translated well at all. If it were tucked in under the bust instead of half way to the waist it will give better definition and the front slit should be chucked. Then it would look better.
Also the shoes are horrible.
10Too baggy
11I love the print, I wish it was more form fitting on top though.
12HATE it.
13LOVE IT!!!!
14The concept is okay... I think they just need to rethink the cut of the dress.
15Also, gladiators? They're so over... let's be honest.
I don't like it.
16Are you kidding me?
17I agree with you completely; I love the print but the cut and fit is just not right - it needs to have a clear silhouette. I would totally rock the pattern, though...
18that's one of the most hideous things I've ever seen.
The gladiator sandals don't help.
looks like they're in a badly designed movie.
19Yuck, not my personal taste.
20May look cute with a belt. Love the print and fabric..looks ethereal
