Scarves are a no-brainer when it comes to dressing for the Winter chill, but dig deeper. I'm specifically talking about extra-lovely, extra-long scarves. For maximum impact, these lengthy neck warmers should be long enough to grace your knees. This craze kills two birds with one stone: they're functional and make for a fun statement piece. Check out how Katie Holmes, seen left, smartly contrasted her gray and black ensemble with an extra-long snow white scarf. I like.

Love scarves! And I love the new look of the super long ones too!
1love it, i actually im wearing a beach wrap i got in the islands as a scarf today..not wearing it down to my knees but wrapping it around and around and around does the trick too
2I love scarves but not past mid thigh.
3I love scarves.
4Scarves rule my world right now. I'm not sure I would wear them that long since I'm pretty short. =/
5my scarf is just like this one and i can't live without it here in NYC. i actually wear it around the office too even when i'm not out side so that just goes to show how key this accessory has become in my wardrobe
6i love the extra long scarves
7i love scarves. when i'm outside. i hate it when people wear heavy scarves inside. light scarves are ok, but wool scarves indoors drive me nuts!
8Ooh I am wearing one today. I kept asking everyone if it looked too long.
9Too long for me...
10I love really long ones because I can loop them twice...which is a bonus here.
Then again my mom, bless her, wanted to make me a hooded scarf, and she made it with two strands of yarn and extra long and wide...it was rather comical. I looked like a lollipop with this great big mass of red yarn around my head!
11Wow, Katie actually looks cute in this picture. I don't know about scarves down to your knees though.
