If you have a dad, brother, boyfriend, or husband, chances are you've purchased a wallet, briefcase or luggage for them from Tumi, the 32-year-old accessories brand known for its travel gear. Come next month, you'll be able to pick up a Tumi handbag or two for yourself as well! It has been reported that, under the direction of executive creative director David Chu, the accessories brand is expanding into the women's market with four new handbag collections.
The line of bags is going to combine functionality with an everyday style, so don't expect to see any crazy designs. All the new pieces will first be sold exclusively at Tumi stores until Spring 2008. After that, you'll be able to find Tumi handbags at Bloomingdale's, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.
