I can't imagine having enough clothes to never have to repeat. It seems like a waste in this economy (and economic climate) to not wear things as many times as you can. Naturally, your
combinations would repeat themselves from time to time, especially if not everything in your closet goes with everything else!
They might not be exact repeats - I might add a different necklace or some random accessory, but of course I repeat. The other posters are right. Not like most people can afford to have
thousands of things they've only ever worn once!
i always repeat, but I try not to wear the same thing in front of the same people within a week, but I don't really think anyone would notice if I did, just sort of a challenge to myself.
Of course I never repeat. In fact, I quite prefer to burn my clothes after I've worn them, because even repeating a piece would seriously mess up my reputation.
I have enough clothes to wear something different every day. But if you really love something, I don't see the harm in wearing it over and over again, even developing it as a signature piece.
Like a lovely red dress that works both night and day, work and play with just a small amount of change. Clothes should make you feel sexy, powerful, playful, a woman.
what's wrong with repeating outfits? good lord. I have a rather small, simple wardrobe and so I'm always wearing my clothes many times over. who can afford not to? plus, I had a uniform in
high school, and even though its been nearly ten years since then I'm still in the habit of wearing the same thing all the time. makes life easy. haha.
I actually do have a room full of clothes and shoes, and could probably go at least 6 months without wearing anything twice. At work, I'm known for never wearing the same thing twice, but
people that really know me know that if I absolutely love an outfit, I'll wear it sometimes two days in a row. I don't care.
@ geniegurl21 - totally agree with you! i can't afford to NOT repeat outfits, but i try to not wear the same outfit within the same week or 2.... or i'll try to switch it up with different
shoes, purse, accessories at the very least.
wouldn't it be nice if we had THAT many clothes to never repeat an outfit? only if....
yea i definitely repeat for the same reasons as most but i also try not to wear the same thing to work in the same week or two. just to switch it up. but when i go home every night and change
into jeans and a shirt, i'll wear those a week straight til they are dirty!
I can go without repeating for months if I wear everything I own, but I repeat a lot because there are every pieces that I love such as the nice warm comfy cashmere sweaters and black J-brand
skinny jeans with boots, and it seems to be the easiest and effortless outfit for me everyday.
All you have to do is switch up pieces to create a new look. However, I have found myself repeating certain looks once a month, but its usually my go-to/comfy cute look!
even Queen Elizabeth repeats outfits nowadays even though it's specifically in the royal etiquette or something that she should never appear in the same outfit twice. if the Queen can do it
so can anyone else
what everyone else said--who could afford not to repeat outfits?
sure, the shoes, earrings, belt, whatever...that might change, but i could never treat clothing in a disposable manner.
Even if I had loads of money for a clothing budget, I'd still repeat things. The mentality that wearing something only once makes someone so stylish seems so silly and ridiculous to me.
off course, specially for work!!
but what i do is that if a wore certain outfit i try to wear it again like on a month and half or something
i always try to buy new tops so i dont care if i repat the jeans or skirts
the only time i dont repeat an outfit is for like special events. really special events... ones where i buy an outfit knowing i will never wear it again. and thats not often. otherwise, i
look pretty much the same everyday...
since im not an uber-wealthy person i have too. but i think i would anyway. if i have an outfit i really love, why not wear it again? it seems wasteful.
I can't bring myself to repeat an exact outfit! You have to at least change something about it...I mean if it's just a t-shirt and jeans then maybe I'd do it, but not like an outfit for
clubbing or a going out.
Yes I repeat.
I try not to really hard, but after reading the comments here I feel wayy better about repeating.
I think because I got to my low point in fashion where I didn't care what I looked like, now I feel I have to make up for lost style time. lol.
I really enjoy mixing and matching things around though.
Which, I'm not sure if that counts as repeating? It's a couple of the same pieces.
YES - sure I repeat outfits. I am no celebrity or anything with their kind of dough. But not back to back. I mix up what I have a create new combos of looks. Work w. what I got and mix up
where I find things. I am a lil' fashionista I suppose
i have WAY more respect for a woman who can use the pre-existing pieces in her wardrobe and re-use and combine them to look fabulous than someone who has to buy something new everyday in
order to look fashionable. that's not what fashion is about. it's kind of pathetic, in my opinion. as far as i'm concerned fashion is about creativity, and that means tweaking old outfits.
I love rewearing clothes. I flatly refuse to buy an article if I'm only going to wear it once. I may not wear the same outfit twice a week but my favorite pieces get a fir amount of wear out
of them, usually a couple of years until they're completely worn out!
I never repeat outfits because of MyClothingCalendar (www.myclothingcalendar.com), a FREE online clothing
journal that records what you wore with friends, family, colleagues and clients at social events, business meetings or any occaasion.
You can upload pictures of outfits and/or articles of clothing.

Rachel Zoe was photographed walking down Robertson, Starbucks in hand, looking ready for some serious shopping. She looked chic in her round sunglasses and Chanel bag, which she wore with of-the-moment thigh-high boots, a denim Current/Elliott biker jacket, and printed scarf.
I do. I'll get into a look and wear it and wear it until I wear it out (get sick of it) and then move on to another.
1I couldn't afford not to!

3Uh, yeah. I don't have rooms full of clothes that enable me to wear something different every day!
4Who doesn't repeat? That's ridiculous!
5They might not be exact repeats - I might add a different necklace or some random accessory, but of course I repeat. The other posters are right. Not like most people can afford to have thousands of things they've only ever worn once!
6i do, my life isn't under a microscope where i or other people should care...
7there is no way i couldnt repeat. i dont have the money the sugar workers have only caring about advertising money and not their "registered"
8~KARMA~
LOL at the 4 people who said they don't repeat (no offence) but even CELEBS repeat outift sometimes (sometimes at home so we cant see)
but we aren't celebs to trash out outfits that are already worn.
i repeat an outfit but not all the time, depends if i feel it

10Of course. There's nothing wrong with repeating an outfit.
11C'mon people let's be real who could actually afford to NEVER wear the same outfit twice in a lifetime. I mean that's just sort of well...silly.
12i always repeat, but I try not to wear the same thing in front of the same people within a week, but I don't really think anyone would notice if I did, just sort of a challenge to myself.
13Is this a serious question? Really?
Of course I never repeat. In fact, I quite prefer to burn my clothes after I've worn them, because even repeating a piece would seriously mess up my reputation.
14Who here can afford not to?
15I have outfits that are my favorite That I love to wear again and again.
16hahah I vote for amvbob for best response

19Honestly, unless you've got a ton of $, it's pretty much impossible not to repeat an outfit. Duh.

21of course i repeat, but i journal my outfits, so i know when i wore what and try to space things out as much as i can.

Absofruitly! If it works, it works. I've gotta have go-to outfits for some things or else I'll spend to much time figuring things out.
It's always fun to find great new combinations, though!
29Even if I had loads of money for a clothing budget, I'd still repeat things. The mentality that wearing something only once makes someone so stylish seems so silly and ridiculous to me.
30Of course I do. If I really love an outfit that I put together, I definitely wear it again. I just space out the times that I wear it.
I agree that only wearing something once is ridic.

37So how many of the people that answered never say they care about the environment and being green and all that cool stuff...?
Yes I repeat.
