You get the best of both worlds when you wear flat ankle booties. Their witchy, downtown appeal goes perfectly with short hemlines, and they're super comfy. I'm actually wearing mine today with a moody floral mini-skirt, dark tights, white tee, and long cardigan. Believe me, you'll be hooked before you know it.

They look a bit 'Lord of the Rings'elfish.
Hahahahahha. I agree. I need a heel on boots like this.
I kind of love it! Especially since I walk a lot during my commute, a flat boots is necessary!
I love those. They remind me of the boots the Beatles wore, but these have a feminine flair.
I don't like the style...they remind me of cheap knock-offs that I always see ghetto people wearing.
I like the look, and I have to say, wearing "Made by Elves" shoes would make me smile.
Ew I hate it.
EW. I love booties, but they need heels to be chic.
I don't know why..but I Like it...maybe the promise of no heels kind of appeal to me and still..pointy...
I want cream leather booties, I probably will be the only person caught wearing them but I don't care, I embrace white leather!
Under pants, fine, but ankle boots really look ridiculous on everyone.
These make me look even shorter! I think only tall people can pull these off.
I'm officially on a quest to prove both of you wrong.
I think this style just looks awkward. Especially when paired with skirts or shorts. I've yet to see anyone pull them off without looking too trend-chasey.
I think they look awkward too, Jude C. Ankle booties look better with heels, I think.
The second ones look okay, because they're shorter, so the profile is like a sneaker. It just seems like boots that cut off a few inches higher always make legs look dumpy, regardless of whether they have heels or not.
You need really skinny and long legs to not look stumpy in these, IMO.
Yeah, a heel might help, emalove, although I think it's where the bootie hits the ankle that bothers me. That's not going to flatter anyone.
Also, I just can't get into long, pointy toes on flat shoes. That always looks so strange. I think a pointy toe box really only works on shoes because the foot is elongated, and it doesn't look like you've got a big old elfy pointed clog on.
*Crap. I didn't mean "elongated," I meant "shortened." Pointy toe boxes work better on heeled shoes because the shoe looks shorter. I need coffee.
not a fan, prob bc i don't think i could pull them off...
I don't know Sy. I think you've got a cute pixie look going on. You could probably pull these off.

thanks! I will try to make you proud, K!
Eh... peoples wore them since last year. Lol.. I guess fab is a little late.
EVERYONE - THESE KIND OF SHOES ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, sorry to sound crazy, but I have been wearing flat booties since two years ago (I guess I'm ahead of the trend), and I loooooove them! They are so comfortable and cute - and I think all of you guys need to see them; with skinny jeans tucked into them, with tights and a skirt or dress, I swear they look great! I first bought a suede pair from Steve Madden two years ago which I still wear all the time (seriously, it's almost ridiculous how much I wear them), and I have since bought two other pairs. I swear to everyone; these are my favorite kind of shoes and I'm sure they can become your's too...
i absolutely love boots, but i hate these pair. i agree that they are elvish.
