It kind of looks like she's wearing two different dresses held together by a belt. I guess that's the point. I'm getting a weird Batman villian Two-Face impression from it.

I like the dress, but not the belt, shoes, earrings, or Anne. I think it's a case where if the dress is that unique, you shouldn't add distracting accents - like a clear belt. And her feet are waaaay too long for open toe shoes.

The eyebrows are overdone and they make her look weird. The makeup artist put too much filler.

I love the dress, but not the belt. I think that whoever did her makeup really used a heavy hand on her eyebrows, they look like they were applied with a sharpie marker! It's overkill, she dosen't need that much makeup.

No thanks. It looks like someone folded up a white table cloth and decided to shove it under her belt to hide the rest of her (black) dress. Weird belt, bad eyebrows, bad everything.

It's a great dress, but I don't think Anne Hathaway carries it well. It seems a bit overwhelming on her body.

Wow, usually I think Anne looks so good but I hate hate hate this look. Her eyebrows are horrible and she just looks wrong tonight, somehow. It goes beyond the makeup, I can't quite figure it out, but she does not look like herself.

I'm really surprised that so many people don't like Anne and that not everone loves that dress - I love, want, and need that dress! I think it does need a belt, but I do agree that she should have gone with a different belt and I gag every time I see a black peep toe (actually any peep toe; I really hate them and I think black peep toes are the most boring, unoriginal, and cliche shoe out there), but otherwise I think it's original, beautiful, and fits her style and personality perfectly. I think she is a very talented and very beautiful actress, and I love seeing her everywhere. She is one of my favorite people in that trash can called Hollywood, and I am really surprised that more people don't see her charm and uniqueness...

I totally agree lizlee89! I love Anne because she's classy, down-to-earth and intelligent compared to her A-list peers. This dress is couture, people. It's ART and trust me designers don't throw fabric onto mannequins haphazardly and call it a dress without putting a great deal of craftsmanship and thought behind it. (Excuse me, I'm an art history major so I always get a rise out of people criticizing abstract art simply because they don't understand it!). I will grant that that the belt and shoes don't mesh well with the dress however. Did anyone catch her acceptance speech for Best Actress? How cute was she!

I like the dress, but this hair cut is really not doing her any favors. She's a beautiful girl and would look great with a different, softer style.

the belt just makes the whole thing fall flat. it's not the right color and the detail is too distracting. she should have just gone for a simple black one, or maybe just a plain gunmental one or something, i do think she needed one to break up the line of the two-tone though. and i wish her shoes were higher, those are an awkward heel height and make her feet look funny.

I like it, hopefully she's stay abstract for the Oscars. Congratz to her on her win, by the way!

Personally I chose undecided, because I love the white half, but I hate the black half! Perhaps if she had chosen a belt that brought the two together more coherently it would work better.

I am a huge Anne fan, and thought she looked fantastic! So glad she won an award with Meryl Streep!
