Marc Jacobs is known for keeping his prints interesting and this Marc by Marc Jacobs Sara Stripe Patchwork Dress posted by SaraSmile in the Love It or Hate It? group is interesting alright! It took me a while to decide whether or not I like this maxi dress, but I think I'm veering towards "Love It!" I'm not normally a fan of patchwork but the stripes and the twisted knot at the bust are pretty unique. It would be perfect to wear to an outdoor bridal shower. What do you think?

not a fan of the maxi dress. maybe it's because i'm short and that would drag on the ground. or maybe it's just ugly. i don't know.
Yeh!!! I think I really like this one.
I voted undecided, but really only because I'm undecided if it's worth the price. To me, it's a hippie dress with a yuppie price. I like it, but not sure I'd ever pay over $500 for it.
I'm undecided :|
Yuck. I hate maxi dresses, don't like patchwork much either. They're such a flash in the pan trend too, I wouldn't bother.
I don't usually like patchwork, but this one is cute!
I sort of love it...but the name? Maxi dress? my brain went straight to Maxi pad....i know, i'm totally being 12 lol
I just wish the print weren't so patchworky at the bottom. And it's very haphazard at that. But I agree with you fab, I'm loving the bodice.
It's okay. It looks like a nightgown to me though. I think if it weren't for the mess created at the bottom of the dress, it would be a hell of a lot better.
Honestly, when I posted it I thought everyone would love it, because that is the reaction that the J.Crew dress garnered. This one, not so much, but I really think it is kind of fab if you could pull it off.
I kind of love it. But, it's not really my style.
This dress is great because it's such a simple idea. You can make this dress so easily!
Definate "love" for me.
Cute, but I don't love it.
too much dress for me...reminds me of 1973! LOL
Love it, but i'd never wear it
Love it, but for long thin girls I guess.
Too long and to many different fabrics.
It looks like a quilt from the hips onwards!
I love it , you have to be careful wear you wear it do'
All that comes to my mind is a mop (or kitchen towel). Even on this skinny model, it hangs, looks too long, doesn't jive!
I like the dress, but I don't think I'd actually buy it.
Love it, but I'd rather make one by myself than buy it
I am absolutely in LOVE with this dress!

Only like the bodice, the colors are pretty, but too much of a messy work going on with the patchwork, it just looks lop-sided and thrown together.
I LOVE IT! I would buy it but I'm sure it's like $700 dollars. My hippie friend could make this for me if I paid her $8 for the materials.
I love it!
I love it. Super cute and looks comfy for the Summer.
I normally love EVERYTHING Marc Jacobs, but this one just doesn't do it for me.
I love the shape of the dress but not too sure about the patchwork effect
I don't think I would/could wear it, but I love the way it looks.
The colors go together, but I wouldn't wear. I still like it though.
Since I am pretty short, I'm not a fan of maxi dresses as they would drag the ground like all my pants do..and it's a very ugly pattern anyways.
Very nice, but hard for just anyone to pull off the look.
I typically don't like patchwork either but there is something about that dress that makes it extremely appealing and I like it!
i am just dying to find a maxi dress that is simple and easy to wear. like the yellow one on hayden panettiere!
this marc jacobs maxi dress is gorgeous. normally patchwork wouldn't do it for me but on this particular dress, it's appealing.
I actually really like it - even though it's almost ugly haha...
