There are LBDs and then there are unforgettable LBDs. Imagine someone wearing this Velvet Jessamine Dress ($130). Would you forget her? I think not. I love that it's minimalistic, body-hugging, and how the cut exposes the shoulders. Paired with some killer heels, it would rock the world. But I'd rather not pay more for it if I can pay less.

This American Apparel Cotton Spandex Jersey Double U-Neck Dress ($38) is equally sexy and not so equally expensive. Like the one above, it's fitted, long-sleeve, and simple. And, depending on the occasion, you have the option of either exposing your shoulders or covering them. If you're not afraid to reveal your curves, add this LBD to your wardrobe.

I like the look if it were longer, and spandex ummmmm...ya. Having it THAT short seems a little hooker-ish to me.
1omg
2I know now that it's true what they say about if you live long enough you start to see fashion trends make a second go around!
I remember this look from the 80s!
SO Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love".
Check it out: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0U5JfGYx4c)
3This dress is great! Jay Manuel had a segment yesterday on E! all about the LBD and how to dress it up for work, the day, or for night. There are so many options for this dress!
4I like it a lot, but I'm afraid of looking like a Single Ladie's extra.
5LOL, Chancleta--I thought of Robert Palmer INSTANTLY too! Way too 80s flashback for me.
6I just can't wear something that tight and short - but I do think it's a pretty dress and can look good on the right person. the first one is better, though; the second one just doesn't compare. plus, I don't support American Apparel...
7that AA one is so short! too tight for me i'm afraid.
8Yeah, it's a little short, but it'd look good with leggings or even over jeans
9The owner/creator of American Apparel has had his share of controversy. But, American Apparel is 100% sweatshop free, produces every part of the product in the Los Angeles warehouse, pays its workers a MINIMUM of $10/hr, and offers great health benefits, holiday pay and sick time. Also, the factory is environmentally conscious, and offers organic clothing. For those (and other) reasons, I support and purchase from American Apparel.
