We're still recovering from last night's Golden Globe whirlwind, but we have decided on our top three of the evening. These are the ladies we keep going back to. It's a pretty close race in terms of your best dressed of the night. Our number one — Eva Mendes in Christian Dior — is among the close contenders. But for us, it's unanimous.
Eva rocked this strapless white sculptured Dior gown. It's a fresh silhouette, and color, for the red carpet and for that I am thankful. On stage it was dramatic and moved with grace. She's a fan of sexy up dos and her side swept bangs let her gorgeous face work its magic. She could have stopped at the dress, but she didn't. Yes! Her neck was zealous with a Van Cleef & Arpels turquoise choker and her wrist got in on the turquoise fun, too. Her ears sparkled with diamond clusters. Eva will always be remembered for this perfect Golden Globe attempt.

Drew! How stunning did Drew look? I wasn't surprised — she tends to look great on the red carpet. Drew's been going through a style transformation lately, but she kept it glam for the Globes. She was voted the favorite Dior of the night, and we second that emotion. I thought her tousled goldilocks were fun. The dress was so breezy, and the hair reminded us that Drew is a bit of a wild child at heart. Her red satin Vivier clutch was sexy and her cloudy jewels were decadent.
Olivia is proving to be a red carpet contender. She is beautiful and she always accentuates her assets: her aqua eyes, swan-like neck, and teeny waist. She brought a whiff of color to the carpet in her frothy lavender Reem Acra gown. Don't you just want to touch it? I'm sure it was light as air, luxurious as hell. The jeweled self-belt provided extra sparkle, as did her cluster earrings. Between the cross-over bodice, confectionary color, and baby ruffles, Olivia proved herself a princess.

Drew is definitely my fav out of these three.
1can't say i agree with the second two...drew's dress was pretty and delicate, but by no means the most interesting/best. and big blond hair is great so long as you do it properly meaning no frizz and def. no crazy dark roots.
2Olivia's dress...i dunno. a little fairy-ish to me, and not just in a pretty way. it reminded me of kids' dress-up costumes. lavender isn't a really easy color to work with.
but good god, i am totally going out to buy a seasonally inappropriate white dress now. that stark brightness + her tan (similar to mine! kind of...) = gorgeous.
3I don't agree with any of these. I don't think Eva Mendes' dress fit her at all. Very ill-fitting and it look like a huge bow exploded on her hip. That blue washed Drew out. And Olivia's dress was too dolly-dress-up.
4Eva's look is stylish, for 2009, and is beautiful. She captures the fashion of the moment. That photo of Drew though, is timeless in its beauty. I disagree that the color washes her out -- I think it makes her more luminescent. I mean look at her skin -- it just glows.
5You know what, Fab??? These might be my 3 top favorites too!!!
Eva looked fabulous...I especially love her necklace. I've always had a love for turqouise jewelry, lately it's been an obsession!!! I wear a turqouise cuff bracelet everyday.
And Olivia's dress blew me away--the color, the over-the-top skirt--simply amazing. I hated Drew's hair, but her dress was to die for!
6i would kill for eva's necklace, but i have to say, i think her dress fits very, very oddly in the boob-area.
7LOVED olivia's dress. It's daring and darling at the same time. Drews was great too but I never expect less from her. Eva's was my least favorite. Did she have a napkin on her lap that got tucked in by mistake?
8I didn't really like Eva's dress. I find there's something off on the boob part. I liked both Drew's and Olivia's dresses! Olivia's dress has such a wonderful colour.
9I agree on one and two.
I thought there were far better looks than number three though. That's just a tad too much froth, in a very sickly colour, for my liking.
10um. Eva looked awful. that dress is hideous, people haven't learned that a huge thing on the front = automatic fail.
And Drew looked like she rolled out of bed and threw on a dress.
Olivia Wilde was the best, followed by Jennifer Morrison.
11The Van Cleef and Arpels turquoise necklace was GORGEOUS up close... not only was the turquoise beautiful but it was adorned with diamonds as well which really just blew me away.
12Really?! I hate all these dresses! I actually didn't love any of them, except for Kate Beckinsale...
13Sorry Fab I have to disagree with you on all. Eva's dress was ok. I thought Drew looked a mess. And the last one? Blah
14I agree on number one.
15Eva was definitely best dressed.
I'd pick January Jones and (gasp!) Rumer Willis as second and third. Rumer has never looked better.
16I hated Eva's look. My girlfriend and I felt like she looked like got all mussed in the limo, perhaps as a result of some, uh, relations. It fitted her terrible through the bust and the big pouf just did nothing. The necklace, however, was great.
I also mostly hated Drew's look. A little too much of a nod to Grey Gardens. With different styling, however, I think I could grow to love the dress. But as an all over look, not so much.
And I swear I've seen Olivia's dress before, but in a dark gray. It's driving me nuts. But either way, it's not an original look at all.
For me, there were many others that I thought were much better. Oiy.
17Oliva was my favorite of the night. That dress is gorgeous!
18Eva and Drew looked amazing!
19I can only agree on Drew. She looked gorgeous. The other two I really didn't care for, especially Olivia's. Too much ruffle and dolly for me. I thought Kate Beckinsale and Anne Hathaway dressed much better than these two.
20i agree with the picks. i love the great bow on the dior dress, very new look, the contrast red clutch, and the feathery texture on the reem acra dress.
21but my fav dresses are on january jones and cameron diaz.
22i love these three and ive been seeing them on worst dressed lists! everyone is not looking at drews dress b/c they didn't like her hair?!?! i just love the color! and one website said olivia's dress was suited for barbie--i totally disagree! and eva's is so classy, E said people weren't sure about the bow?! WTF!!
23eva and drew have been growing on me (drews hair too!), so i agree w/ 1 & 2.
i only saw pics of olivia on fab and maybe on camera it looked more lavender?? but i think it looks too pink, like pepto pink. it is a pretty style though.
i really liked january jones...her hair and make up were prefection and the dress was a beautiful color and interesting to look at.
24wow. i didn't like any of these.
does nothing for me.
while i love the necklace Eva is wearing, the extra fabric they forgot to remove
Drew's dress is a good style, not so sure about the color, though. and don't even get me started on the hair.
and i have nothing good to say about Olivia's dress...i suppose it's a good color on her...
My favorite dresses for the night were the black and whites. I loved Kate Winslet's black dress, Kate Beckinsale's white dress, and Melissa George's white dress with black accents.
25I agree w/ the first 2, but I think Eva Longoria should be ahead of Olivia Wilde. Eva looked AMAZING in that red mermaid gown.
26I wasn't crazy about Eva's look at all but I loved Drew's (aside from the hair) and Olivia's. It's cool to see people wear pastel every now and then on the red carpet rather than the predictable black, red, and neutral tones.
27i loved eva! she always looks fantastic - and she seems so much fun to hang out with... as for drew... ummm.. the dress was beautiful but i hated the hair.... it's like after sex hair or something.. and was it me or was she a lil out of it?
28Was I the only one blown away by Evan Rachel Wood?
29I agree with the choices of Eva and Drew.
30I just lost a lot of credibility in this blog. Eva looks good, the jewelery is beautiful, she has a great smile, her complexion on a white dress is stunning and I too love the cut of the dress but like many of readers have noted the fit wasn't right and to make a Top anything list the fit better be perfect. Drew was a hot tranny mess. I love the woman but the hair and make-up was horrible. I am utterly shocked to see her on this list and I may have to stop reading this blog for a while as a result. Olivia Wilde is the one selection I agree with but she is my number one of the night. FInally, I agree with genesisrocks, where is Evan Rachel Wood?
31Not crazy about Eva's dress. Love Drew's dress, but I wish Drew's hair was more styled and smooth.
