It's been too long since I gave you an update on SJP's Bitten clothing line - but now there are several bits of news! First off, here are more images from the collection. Did anyone see SJP on Oprah last Friday? They did a little mini fashion show and while some of the pieces are admittedly a bit basic, the jackets, jewelry, and some single items look really fun and SJP-like. So, I think come June 7th we'll have another fashion frenzy on our hands.
As you know Bitten is being sold exclusively at Steve & Barry's and here is a store locator. It will NOT be sold online. Pooh.
Also! There is a contest to "Get Bitten" with SJP and three lucky winners will win a trip for two to NYC. BUT you have to print out the contest form and bring it into a Steve & Barry's store on June 7 before 11AM to enter. Lastly, check out this video where SJP talks about her Bitten manifesto with total enthusiasm and zest (love her!). And remember that SatC episode where she has her super fun book cover photo shoot? Well, the video has glimpses into another fun SJP photo shoot so enjoy!

7now that I've gotten all angsty, let me also say that as a girl of SJP's proportions (by that I mean I'm 5'2"), I really hope her clothes are designed for US, and not the 6- to 7-foot-tall amazons it seems like everything is usually designed for.
8Cool, I have a few H&M store surrounding me - however I must disagree with your Karla Sugar - I am 6'1" and I find that clothing that fits well is very hard too find for tall girls as many clothes are not designed for us either

It's not the fit; I can find a fit. It's pants and skirts/dresses that are always too long. JCrew dresses? WAY too long. I get excited when capris swing 'round again (in that great wheel of fashion) because it means I can buy some pants I won't have to alter.
11These clothes look absolutely generic, as though they should be shelved at big box discount stores. To eliminate competition from the Marts must be the reasoning behind so limited a distribution in stores not available in Middle America. I suppose many people will pay exorbitant amounts of money for these clothes at a department store in NYC, while the oft looked down upon Midwesterner in Kansas will simply buy her daughter the same look at Target.
I'm thoroughly disappointed.
12Everything is under $20 LolaVerona! I think her collection looks awesome; I watched Oprah and they showed tons of it. Supposedly it's very well made, also.

16I don't know if there is a store near me, I highly doubt it (Denver is not exactly a fashion mecca). I wish SJP and H&M would sell their stuff online so us "country bumpkins" can take advantage!

18I've never even heard of Steve and Barry's. It sounds like a brand of ice cream. The closest store is 3 hours from where I am. Why couldn't she do this at Target???
19Steve and Barry's "gimic" is that nothing in there store is over $14.95. That's why she did it with them. I'm totally excited about this line. Such great basics, I can't wait to see how they actually fit.

27It is very refreshing to see nice basics that the average person can wear on a daily basis. There are a lot of clothing items sold that, while cute, are not practical for everyday life.
There is a Steve and Barry's not far from me and I can't wait for the Bitten line to arrive!

31There's one Steve & Barry's in my area, but it's also in the one mall I LOATHE going to. I'm going to be so torn on what to do here. They need to put a Steve & Barry's in the other mall that's actually decent, not the one I avoid like a black plauge. They probably won't though, they'd be running out of space since they're putting in a Barnes and Noble in the fall. I know I've been looking forward to the Bitten line ever since I first heard of it. I was proud of Sarah Jessica for making things not so outrageously priced like how celebrity clothing labels tend to be. Nothing over $20 is easy to take. And now that I've seen the styles I'm really excited. Simple and casual. It's a very cute line. I still hate the mall Steve & Barry's is located in though. Damn them, why must there be a catch to all this greatness?
