The latest episode of Gossip Girl was filled with oodles of pretty plaid, but one in particular caught my attention. While most of the Upper East Siders took the preppy route, Serena van der Woodsen's structured Smythe Les Vestes jacket and buckle boots add a polished equestrian aura to her stylish school-girl vibe. A white button-up top, gray tights, and shark tooth necklace complete her outstanding outfit — an A+ in my book!

Normally plaid on plaid bothers the heck out of me but she looked fabulous in that outfit.
1Wow, I am so surprised at the lack of Inaugural coverage! I rarely venture over to this part of the site, but it was definitely my first stop this morning, figuring I could see not only Michelle Obama's dress, but also Jill Biden's and what all the other celebrities at various balls and events were wearing.
I guess I'll have to take my page views elsewhere.

I loooooved this outfit, although I found the shark tooth necklace quite cheesy and dumb. I love that blazer to death - is it the same one that Victory Ford wore on that episode of Lipstick Jungle where they went to the spa? I love this one, but it is still too pricy - any look for lesses?

15I am not that keen on the plaid jacket and skirt together although the jacket would look cute with a pair of skinny jeans. I love the boots though!
