Donna Karan is launching an upscale denim line with an extra special twist. See, what makes Donna's collection stand out from others is that her jeans are cut on the bias, see left. Confused? I'll let Donna Karan explain it to you: "I love the fluidity and sensuality of the way a bias-cut fabric drapes and molds the body. When you cut denim on the bias the result is the ultimate in fit and comfortability. There's no side seam, so your legs look long and lean. These jeans are designed to move with you wherever your life takes you." To add icing on the cake, Karan enlisted jewelry extraordinaire Robert Lee Morris to design her denim buttons. The line debuts in late February and will be available at major retailers.

I would think the normal jeans cut would make you look longer/leaner than with no side seam... the eye follows the seam downward making the illusion of length... or so I thought?
1I bet they're $$$$$$$$$$$
2No side seam interesting... butyeah they cost wayyyyyyyyyyy too much! Hopefully they get some at Loeman's!
3The no side-seam looks weird to me...I don't think I like them.
4Isn't this bad timing for debuting a luxe jean?
