Leighton Meester has been known to push the fashion envelope every so often, so when we spotted her wearing this unique Preen dress at the Nylon Mexico launch party we had to dish. Her bedazzled LBD has an interesting mesh overlay and corset-like panel running across the chest. For adornments, the Gossip Girl chose a multi-colored bracelet by House of Lavande, a stingray barrel clutch by Cecelia, and a pair of strappy black sandals. Her ensemble is daring: do you love it or hate it?

2I really wanted to like it because I love Leighton and I love Preen. But I just don't. It looks too 90s.
3I agree that it has a very 90s look to it! I hate how the mesh overlay is longer than the rest of the dress.

11if the mesh stopped at the end of the skirt it might be ok but something is just off about it
12I think she might have pulled the dress off with different accessories with very simple lines -- and maybe some color. As it is, it looks like this wild black mass, even though each item is decent in its own right.
