Calvin Klein is no stranger to censorship. Last year, the brand was prohibited from showing Eva Mendes's sexy lingerie ads, and now they're receiving another slap on the wrist. The brand's steamy new Calvin Klein Jeans video campaign, shot by Steven Meisel, has also been banned in the US.

The grainy commercial depicts hottie models — Anna Selezneva, Anna Jagodzinska, and Natasha Poly to name a few — all over each other in what looks to be a old basement. It's definitely steamy, but we've see way worse on TV screens. Calvin Klein is currently working on an edited version that will air on cable. Across the pond, our overseas friends will get to see the uncensored version on their tellies.

"but we've see way worse on TV screens"
Uhhh, what channels have YOU been watching?...
1
2Okay...I'm def. no prude...but I don't think full on breasts on my tv are really necessary to sell jeans.
3I with all of previous posts. WTH?! That was super over the top. Blatant way to shock for publicity. Live action orgy? I don't know what to say.
4That's just gross.
5I just think it's tiresome how this brand constantly courts sexual scandal to stay in the public consciousness. How long has Calvin Klein been doing this now, 30 years?
6Hahahaha, Am I the only one who thinks this commercial is hilarious? I actually love it. I think it's funny not sexy... But I can see why they won't air it in the US.
7HA, I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!
8I can see why they won't air it... you can see more than you expect.
9I'm glad most of the other posts were a bit shocked like I was. This isn't a commercial to sell jeans, it's more like soft-core porn. This is pretty bad, and I would not be happy if I were a mom or dad with kids and this "advertisement" came on the TV...
10Okay, I get that "sex sells" but this is NOT even sexy! There is a difference between sexy and raunchy.
11Yeah, this is pretty unnecessary...but very little shocks me nowadays.
12I just don't see how a orgy would make me want to buy jeans? That's just gross. This commercial is softcore porn..
13I don't wanna see this on my tv, sorry.
14The add is nothing original, we've seen this from Calvin Klein a thousand times, but I don't see why it should be censored.
15That's a commercial? It looks like a hidden camera capturing a private party!
16wow!!! that's too much :surprise:
17I don't understand why people are so shocked about this.
18ugh! I don't think it is tasteful or even sells the jeans well. I threw up in my head! I need mental mouthwash!
19definitely not a prude as well, but this is just a stupid level of sexuality. it's not even beautiful sexuality that can be appreciated, it's not artistic, it's not tasteful, and it's not fun either. it's just kind of desperate at this point.
20It's CK, he does this all the time and I still dont like it. I'm not a prude but I didn't like seeing his ads similar to these when I was 15 and I'm 26 now and I still don't like them.
21this ad is stupid and disgusting. not only is it completely innapropriate (thank God for FCC), but it doesn't even look like a commercial. teegall hit it right on the head - it looks like a hidden sex tape. either that or a perfume ad gone wrong (what's with the cheesy music)...
22honestly Calvin Klein has been doing this for years and is probably going to continue to do it, it was only a matter of time before it got to this point. DO i love it no, do i hate it no. I can see why they wont show it in the US but i mean he got our attention and isnt that what an ad is suppose to do anyway?! good job calvin klein, your mission was obviously a success!
23This ad is so close to pornography, I'm glad it's being prohibited. I'm no prude, but I agree with what someone said before, I don't know what TV channels you've been watching, but this is much to racy and disturbing. I completely agree with lizlee it looks like a hidden sex tape, and a group of underage teens having an orgy. I don't think our children need to see this when flipping through the channels. It's stupid to need to show this when your selling JEANS!
24There is nothing wrong with being sexy...but this is taking it to far. WAY to far.
25I think it's kind of hot.
26It's not like people don't see this kind of stuff everyday on the streets... whether it be violence, cussing, raunchy stuff, etc...
Well, at least where I live in a big city... haha.
seriously really. they didn't think that would be banned from television?! at this point I don't even think they care, probably just wanted the attention of being banned.
Bring back Marky Mark!!!
27I think it's hot... It makes me wanna go-watch-some-porn, but not in a wanna-buy-jeans way. Not an effective ad for me I say
28its a nice video if we r looking for porn!the last thing i notice were the jeans and it kinda reminded me of the movie the ring that movie is very scary!
29unnecessary. i'm pretty sick of all this nastiness in general media. kids can so easily get ahold of this stuff. i also think the clearer ad above it says more and shows off the jeans better.
30there were definitely shots of breasts that you can't see at least on regular tv. i agree with censoring this--i wouldn't want the kids i babysit to watch this. i understand the media's getting increasingly sexual, but...like everyone's saying, this is to sell JEANS.
31as if music vids on MTV are any milder?
32there's nothing like softcore porn to get you in the mood to shop
33At first I thought I was being a bit prude but than I realized I was having a normal reaction. I don't need to see a threesome going on right after a commercial for Campbell Soup. Sex sells is one thing but this is a bit much.
34I think us American prudes need to get over it - we're all adults here and trust me the kids who *MIGHT* see it (I highly doubt this ad will buy airtime on American Idol and/or Saturday morning cartoons) are sneaking to watch wayy worse behind their parents backs. In Europe nudity and sexual openness have been around and OK forever and the people there have turned out fine.
35Oh sh*t it, europeans smoke like chimneys too. This is racier than some rappers music video. And for selling jeans?!
p.s. I'm sorry for the smoking thing, but it's honest
36no offense was intended, maybe just to chelsea....
i'm kidding....
Many will disagree, but I'm all for controversy for the sake of controversy. Keep on keeping on until people quit hating it, CK. And anyway, all those morally defensive soccer moms out there hating on CK ads should learn that self righteousness is masturbation.
37The US has banned products before why not remove CK products from our shelves. It's all sh** anyways. The perfumes make me gag almost as much as the "commercial" did. Pathetic attempt! "Let's turn "models" into "hookers" What a MORON. NO ARTISTIC TASTE!
38i find the new collection and the pictures was amazing ...
39better than other collections (pictures , streams)
Ads like these that Calvin Kein has been so notorious for are nothing short of fostering grounds for sexual abuse and rape.
40One women. Three men.
Ok, so any woman would like to say sexual liberation is amazing. Being able to have sex with anyone I want and NOT be called a wh*re would be wonderful! But this ad is not liberating. Look how tiny she is compared to the guys, how her head is being forced upwards and her body forced downwards by the men.
I think these ads are sick. If we become desensitized to this crap, what will come next? What will we be teaching our boys and girls about sex if this is what they see? And this isn't even considered pornography anymore!
