OK, I admit it: I am clumsy. I'm forever hitting my shins on furniture and tripping and falling down on my butt. This really becomes a problem when I'm getting ready to don a cute miniskirt or a swimsuit, and I realize I'm walking around with an enormous bruise. Plus, bruises take so long to go away that some of my skimpier clothes are out of commission for weeks.
That's why I can't say enough about Boiron Arnica Gel. Made from a Northwestern mountain plant called arnica montana, this nice-smelling, non-sticky ointment is used by athletes to cure muscle aches and pains. But it's also miraculous when it comes to banishing even the biggest, ugliest bruises. You just gently and generously rub the gel on the affected area a couple of times a day, and the bruise will literally disappear in a matter of days. (As a bonus, it will also stop hurting.) Even I thought it sounded too good to be true at first, but every time I use it, I'm amazed at how quickly and effectively this stuff works. You can buy a 2.5 oz. tube for $8.39 here.

Wow. I could seriously use some of this stuff. I don't even know where the heck my bruises come from most of the time, but I'm always getting them on my legs.
Can you get at rite aid?
i bruise easily too. i don't get enough iron. that is why i started on the oil of olay multivitamins.
haha I know jennifer, I always get bruises on my legs too and I'm like where did that come from!! lol
I have fair skin and always bruise, and I have to say I am a bit of a clutz too! I will have to give this a try...
Arnica is the absolute best for pain relief. You can get it at some drugstores like Rite Aid in their vitamin/homeopathic section, or at places like General Nutrition Center and at most health food stores.
this stuff totally works. i swear by it. its amazing.
great tip! i do on occasion wake up after a drunken-ish night wondering where all those bruises came from - and most importantly how to get rid of them quickly!
I wonder what ages its safe on. I hate planning to take someone to get his pics done and then noticing hes bruised himself all over. Silly boys
Random info for you Fab: If you buy some MSM caplets and break them open into your lotion you'll get the same effect. And taking the pills orally is good for your joints.
*I'm also clumsy, but my thing is smacking my arms in doorways and bruising myself.
I do that too colormesticky. It's like I misjudge the distance between me and the door frame.
I purchased this for a very bad bruise. Save your money! It does NOT work on bruises, but it does make the sore area feel better momentarily. Using heat and ice works better, but, perhaps for some, Arnicare does work.
