I am so excited about this. I'm going to my Steve & Barry's this evening!
1YAY!
2That is a great picture of SJP. And yay- there is a store like 10 minutes from me that I didn't even know about- woo hoo!
3I almost forgot!
4Cool pic of her.
5Love that picture. And I am so excited to finally get to see the clothes!
6The clothes look great! And I love the fact that she's making the line affordable for everyone.
7i had an alarm set for this! i so cant wait, im leaving work to get the things i already mapped out i needed!
8yay! i MIGHT check it out today.
9I am going on my lunch break...
10that's right! i might give it a whirl on sunday!
11i'm not near a steve & barry's but am curious. so please anyone who goes to a store pls report back!
12I was there!! I saw her, I got her autograph and I got myself a little outfit!!!! She's so cute and tiny!
13Its interesting how her whole thing is "Fashion is not a Luxury" but you can only get the clothes if you have the luxury of being close to a Steve and Berry's (who don't have that many locations BTW). I guess I am SOL.
14I can hardly believe it but there's a Steve & Barry's about 40 miles from my house. I called there and they got the Bitten clothing in! Now if I only had the time to go there...I have a wedding this weekend, maybe next weekend I'll try and fit in a shopping trip.
15you guys, this line is SO awesome! i loved all of the stuff! i got a pair of jeans (fit is awesome!), a pair of white roll up shorts, a pair of jean roll up shorts, and the infamous 'fashion is not a luxury' tee, all for $49 and some change
...but for the record, i shopped
S&B before and loved it then too...
16oh yeah, and the purse are so hot! i want to trade my Dooney in for one, but my hubby would kill me since he got it for me for x-mas... :*(
17omg. all this hype! i might go and leave right now to check it out hahaha!
18I checked it out this morning! I love love love it..I got 3 very cute tees, a pair of jeans and an adorable silver 3 strand necklace all for under 50 bucks. I think I am going to go back tomorrow and get a dress. I recommend checking it out...unless you live around my stores in Michigan then ummm don't more for me hhehehe!
19I stopped tonight and I have to say, I am completely and utterly impressed. I spent $119.00 (including tax) and this is what I got:
1.) A cute black 3/4 length fitted jacket
2.) A jersey dress in teal
3.) A jersey dress in gray
4.) A racer back striped tank top in black
5.) A racer back striped tank top in teal
6.) A brown cityline-ish t-shirt
7.) A grey-heathered tank stop
8.) A black (awesome!) bathing suit
9.) A coral short sleeve casual/dress shirt
10.) A gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt
Hmm...I think that's it, I can't really remember!
I was so impressed at the fit of everything and how comfortable it was. If you do not live near a Steve and Barry's I highly recommend you find a way to get there or convince your friends that do live near them to send you clothes. I want to go back and get so much more!
20so i just came back as well...overall i thought the line was comprised of HITS and MISSES. i think over time it'll get more stylized and better. but i mean you cannot beat the prices! a lot of the cute stuff were gone/out of stock
...i might just have to come back! anyhow, the
highlights were this $20 double-breasted jacket/pea coat and the $15 jeans....i bought two skinny jeans and a pair of ankle zipper jeans. hmm some other highlights were the $10 striped tote
bags..i bought both of them! i was looking for the purple hoodie i saw on the website but couldn't find it. sad. the only thing i wasn't impressed by, was it was kind of channeling old navy
too much. too many plain cap sleeve t-shirts in like every color. i was hoping more for like i said, stylized items. oh well, i think eventually it'll probably get there.
21I thought there was a lot of cute stuff, and a lot of boring things as well....too many plain t-shirts and tanks. All the prices were amazing though. I bought black ballet flats, some white linen pants, chinos, and a striped black racer back tank top. The total was 47 bucks. Can't beat that. I was really surprised that the store was totally empty and looked fully stocked this afternoon. I had never even heard of Steve and Barry's and was surprised to find there are 5 around Minneapolis.
22um yeah i just tried on the straight leg jeans again and for $15 i recommend you all buy yourself a pair! it makes my butt look gooood! and that's a rarity since i have a whole lotta hip and not much butt! these jeans will be my everyday jeans and i'll let my joe's and paiges rest for once haha
23I am so jealous! They need to sell online for the west coast!
24They are on the west coast. I live in LA and just came back with a huge haul of this stuff. Reallly good pricing. I got the black flats--cute! dark jeans, white linen pants, tons of cute design tees, a necklace, some nice fitting and quality feel (Gap-ish) stone colored pants--12 items for $120. The fit is MUCH better than Old Navy, and it seems like better quality, too--also better than Target. I hope it holds up, for the price it's fine for a year or so. My criticisms: the sizings --esp in the pants--were not consistant. The cute zipper leg pants would not even go up my calves--seriously I have skinny legs--and even in size 8 they would not fit. But then the linen pant in size 2 is almost too big...ended up in size six for the jeans. Go figure. I don't care tho it's such a good deal and does fit well. Ok, so the jeans don't fit quittee as well as my $130 Blue Cult jeans, but for $15 they cannot be beat!!
25I just got back from Steve & Barrys. I got 1 pair of bootcut jeans. They were $14.98. They fit very well. I got a 4 short. I wear either a 2 or 4 depending on the item. I tried on a black dress in a 4 & it was a little tight which I couldn't believe. I also tried on a striped tee. I didn't get it because I had gotten one at Gap not too long ago. I asked at the register about the line & the cashier said they only had part of it in. I'm disapointed because I really wanted to get the white linen pants a lot of you said you have gotten. The quality didn't seem too bad. I'm a little surprised because for under $20 I expected poor quaility. I recommend you all go check it out.
26I think the line is OK. Like Andrea, I think it was hit or miss. Some things were really cute, others were kind of plain. Also, I had a lot of fit problems with the pants. One size of jeans was too small in the thighs and butt, the next size up was WAY too big in the waist. I have a bigger chest and some of the tops didn't fit properly, either. I eventually found one style of pants that fit well in an 8, which is what I wear from most stores. I found a few tops that fit, but the button-downs and a lot of the tailored coats pulled across the chest, even in the XL. And, despite the pulling across the chest, they were too big in the waist or gapped in the lower back. I would definitely recommend going in to check the line out, though. I would just make sure to try everything on before buying it!
